~*~ Ren, third class storyteller ~*~
Puzzles (chap 1)
this is a story about me an mah heart an my friend an her heart .

Chapter one:

His smile was etched into her heart. He stepped forward, his arm extended toward her, its sweet chocolate colour as beautiful as the voice he spoke with. She took his hand and his smile turned into a playful smirk. She blushed, the warmth of his hand tickling her cold-ness. The flames of his heart showed and danced in his chocolate brown eyes. He raised her hand gently and kissed it. She loathed the bright red scarf that separated his soft lips from her hand.
“I,” he whispered, his breath warm against her cheeks. Her heart jumped as she would finally learn the name of the man who appeared in every dream of hers and either save her from danger or, like tonight’s dream, whisk her away to a paradise woven by the words he spoke.
“I am…” he hesitantly spoke, the fire in his eyes slowly burning out, turning into charcoal and dust.
“I am..?” she hurried him along, but knew soon that it would be morning.
“I am…a goofy goober yea! You’re a goofy goober yea! were all goofy goobers yea! Goofy, goofy, goober, goober, YEA!”

Nioma arose from bed furious, hit her alarm-clock and sighed.
“so close…sooo close” she mumbled and almost cried. Those dreams had re-occurred to her for months now. Every night she went to bed hoping to learn his name. She always got so close. Then the alarm clock wakes her up. I know your thinking, “no sweat, just turn the alarm clock off”. She would have but then she’d be late and she can NOT UNDER NO CURCOMSTANCES ON HER LIFE BE LATE AGAIN! You see, Nioma is a messenger for the high counsel of the angels, or the angel society. The society is mean, cruel and absolutely nothing like the way angels are depicted in “holy books”. Angels in those “books” are shown to be extremely loyal and in no way different or special. They are also shown to fight for the reigning “righteous one” of that religion. Lie. Angels led a very stressful life, and are divided by class and military strength. It is true, yes they fight, but for a “righteous one”, don’t think so. The head captain, no one honestly knew his name, but still he’s the worst! He believes that if you are not 100% angel that you are trash, not worthy of being alive, and that is how he passes his judgment upon people…that was her main problem with him. Nioma Naniko was what was called a Tokido. Tokido are a rare cross-breed between an angel and a demon. Once an angel and a demon have children, they are no longer an angel and one of the parents are destined for a death of the most painful sort. Then the other spouse becomes so wrought with pain and misery suicide is committed. Custody of the tokido is given to the Angels, with promises to bring up the child in happiness. The demons hand the tokido over, and a ceremony is held. The tokido are supposedly fed well, and treated as angels to purify them. But of course, this is what it is belived…tokido are not treated with care. They are locked in a cage and starved unless they are pleasing in the sight of the head captian. Then are shoot and stabbed with weapons that no demon could withstand. If the tokido survives…it is forced to work in a low status and treated like dirt…honestly the dead tokido are much happier than the ones who survive.

Naniko got dressed and walked out of her house and sighed, once again, beating the sun up by a couple of hours. She flew to the postal office in the far end of town, Opposite of her own, and stopped in front of her cubby hole.
“ah late night run again I see”
The voice startled her and she sighed.
“DaRon…what are you doing here?”
“Kiraku…she asked me to check on you”, he said playfully, and pushing up the goggles that kept the wind from his eyes as he rode his Harley. Naniko sighed.
“im fine Light-sama…” she retorted, putting emphasis and stressing every word with poison and sarcasm.
“no need to be bitter…well I suppose im off …Rem.” he put just as much sarcasm on his words.
“here,” she threw a package at him and it smacked him clear off his bike.
“Ow!” he yelled getting back up,” jeez! You are your sister’s sister!” he grabbed the package and sat up onto his bike, pulling his goggles back down and revving the engine, making his spirit tires scream bloody murder.
“well a bounty hunter should now how to catch a package…”she smiled, dusting off her hands.
“speaking of bounty hunters, did you hear of the rouge angel who became a captain on the spot.”
“yea…” she said dryly, packing her bag and preparing for her mail morning run.
“he seems to be in your division…his name was…uh…Atenu…ateku…ate-something…”
Her smile faded and she picked up a letter from the head captian addressed to an…
“Ateru?”
“Yes! that’s what it was…” DaRon smirked and revved his engine again. “well im all done here. I”ll tell Misa that your okay then…” he drove off and she coughed at the dust that was kicked up, her shimmering light-blue wings fluttered and little snow-flakes fell from them. She turned back to finish packing and the letter to “Ateru Aneshiwa” fell from her bag. She bent down to pick it up and another hand ran over hers. She jumped and looked up at the man whom hand she had touched. He squatted in the dirt road lining the post office cubbies. His scarlet scarf hung onto the ground, the tips of it brushing against the dirt road.
“I suppose this is mine…” he mumbled through his scarf.
She nodded, “You are,”
“Ateru Aneshiwa, yes…”
“oh…then uh…here you go.” she stumbled through the mail and fished out 3 other letters and a package.
“well you are a popular somebody” she smiled.
“Yea…its unwanted attention…” he sighed and looked away.
“well its good to have someone actually come and get their own mail once and a while.” she smiled and looked into his eyes and they were as chocolaty as his skin. He smiled and his smile was just as the one in her dream. She found herself staring into his eyes and she fell over and landed onto him. He caught her and set her back up, the fire dancing in his eyes, just like in her dream, and his arms and hands around her waist were warm and comforting.
“be careful…” he mumbled, “a letter bee cant be clumsy”
She blushed and rushed off, “I-I have to go!”
She flew off snow falling and shimmiring in the morning sun-rise.
