Puzzles (chap 2)
chapter two of my story...

Nioma flew as fast as her little wings could carry her. They once were as big as anyone else’s wings, beautiful to. But of course, being a tokido, they were cut because of the demon like sharpness of the tips and how, as the head captain put it, disgraceful.
All through her extensive mail route, the image of Ateru was burned into her mind, its beauty and softness showed caring and sensitivity, his burning eyes showed determination, his scarf showed mysteriousness, and that she liked best. She finished the last house as the sun came up. She wiped her forehead, straightened her uniform and headed on out to the last stop of the morning, the grand temple. The Grand temple was where all the governmental “magic” happened, and where the council met. She, yes, our little Nioma, was the personal letter bee to captain of the 10th division, Shaoqing Tao. As you can guess 10th captain Tao was not from Japan, as majority of the angels were. Small minorities of the angels were Chinese and , unfortunately and quite stereotypically, at food restaurants serving foods that used to be special to their Chinese couture, but it was forcefully moved to the Angel society, then forced all across the land of the living and those who were dead, but would never pass as angels. There were also a very very small minority of those whose skin was a beautiful
Mocha or a milk-chocolate kind of tint. They were always beautiful, inside and out.
Now Nioma was right about at the capitol building of the Angel society, and she hovered in the air above her own cubby to pack away her belongings and to put up her tattered old messenger bag and exchange it for her clean white one that captain Tao gave her. She hovered into the main room, the rotunda as captain Tao always said it. He was very fond of her and she was very fond of him. They both were outsiders and they both needed to fit in.
She hovered into the hall of captains, aimlessly looking about for her own. Out of no where a figure, walking instead of using his wings, bumped into her, hitting her stomach and he caught her wrist and smirked.
“ My, my you are one clumsy letter bee are you not?”
“Not very funny…”
Her voice trailed off as she looked into those eyes. It was the one from not but a few hours ago, but why on earth was he in the hall of captains?
“A-Ateru?”
“I suppose my name is known to everyone here…” his scarf tilted a little as his slight smirk showed through a little.
“Yes…I-I am the letter bee…from this morning.” She nodded.
“Hm. Quite awkward then…hm…I suppose that you noticed that my mail held no address…” she blushed. Nioma hadn’t noticed it at all.
“Well by the look on your face you didn’t…i'm currently staying at the generous estate of captain Tao. I would ask that you forward all my mail to him, but seeing as how you enjoyed my visit this morning…” he smirked, reading her like an open book. He was still holding her and abruptly grabbed her bag, which hung from her hip, and read it over.
“Ah! You are captain Tao’s letter bee…he was waiting on you. Shall we?” he said more than asked and carried her down the hall, walking instead of flying.
“You know…everyone’s been giving me such dirty looks today…”
She giggled and Ateru looked down on the girl in his arms.
“what’s so funny? I would demand to know…but I probably am lower rank here…for now.” His monotone voice choked on the last words, growling them like a beast that had been socialized but could snap at any given time.
“you are supposed to hover in this building…it is disgraceful to walk upon the ground…it is imprinted with each captians blood…”
Ateru looked at his now bloody shoes and brought his wings out from his back. Nioma simply stared at them and blushed. They were so soft looking and they were twice her size of wings. They glowed pure white, to her pale blue ones. His were adorned in feathers and hers of ice. His wings didn’t sprinkle things onto the floor, this made him different from hers and she smiled at it.
“your wings are quite beautiful…”
Now I know you believe it to be Nioma who uttered those words…but in truth, it was Ateru.
Nioma blushed.
How is it that he made her fell this way…ah…it mattered not simply because they were coming upon the door to the captain Tao’s room.
