First off, I did play Zelda OoT back on the N64. I also played it on the GameCube. Love the game, but may not be as a "die hard fan" as some Zelda fans are. Even still, I enjoyed it's 3rd release, being on the 3DS.
Since it's a port/updated version of an older game, I won't go too much into it. If you never played the previous versions or are a Zelda fan and loved this in it's older releases, this should be a must have. If you like Zelda, but not a big fan and own or don't care about the previous versions of this, this might not be for you.
I never did 100% complete this game back in it's original release. Nor did I get to play the GameCube version much or even the Master Quest mode at all. So I'm proud to say that I finally got EVERYTHING in this release. All hearts, gold skulltulas, great fairies, and even got the cow for my tree-house.
The 3DS version of this game looks a heck of a lot nicer than both previous versions. Updated graphics and textures. Controls came nicely to the 3DS as well.
Again, I highly recommend this if you love Zelda and/or never got to play the originals. If you already played the originals, beat them, and don't mind not having nice graphics (graphics don't make a game good), then it might be worth skipping.
