CHAPTER 2: A not so quiet day


Ryou's fox ears twitched, he opened his eyes and looked at the alarm clock besides his bed. He reached up and pressed a button to disable the alarm he had set.It now read 7am. He gently got up, arms still wrapped around Nathan. He rested Nathan aside and with a quick burst of speed and strength he leaped over Jared and Fel and landed firmly and quietly on the floor besides the bed "OW..." he shut his mouth and looked at the boys sleeping and Fel "My back has not fully recovered yet" He got up, the pain had left as quickly as it had come.

Ryou grabed some fresh clothes and exited out of his bedroom and closed it carefually and silently. He turned around and entered the nearby bathroom. He had a shower and dressed in the clothes he laid out on the side. He would normally have got dressed in his room but it was occupied. He left the bathroom and looked into his room to check on everyone then he continued down the hall and into the living room.

There on the couch holding a playstation 2 controller in his hands was a man with blue curls of hair, wearing a long pink kimono and pink slippers. "Bah, die Sephiroth!" he was deep in concentraition playing his video game. "Whats wrong?" Ryou said blinking. "This darn game, I can't defeat Sephiroth" replied the man. The man brushed his kinomo down, he was into crossdressing as his apperence showed. "Right." said Ryou "Ryu I'm just about to have something to eat then I'll spend some time with Nathan for awhile. I've got work early today." Ryu nodded and continued playing his game.

"You still playing that?" came a voice across the hall. A teenaged boy wearing black jeans with a racoon tail sticking out of the back was standing at the foot of the hallway. He had a sheet over his head that was like a ghost. Only showing his eyes. He had cute, sensible blue eyes but the expression he always wore gave him a dark and mean look. "Yes I am Jack." mumbled Ryu. Jack sniggered and sat down to watch. "Kingdom hearts will always taunt you like this, you'll never win." laughed Jack. Ryu wasn't bothered about the way Jack was talking, he seemed quite used to the way this ghostcoon acted.

Ryou went into the kitchen and Ryu followed, after throwing the controller on the floor. As soon as Ryu entered the kitchen the phone on the wall rang. Ryu went to answer it but someone picked it up just before his hand touched the phone. "Hello?" said the deep voice of Fel with a slight bit of amusment in his voice. "Uh-huh, right. Makes sence. No I'm not free on tuesdays. See ya" he hang up. "Who was that Fel?" asked Ryou eating some toast. "Oh that was Vana." He said with a grin.Ryou's eyes widened and he blurted out "WHAT YOU MEAN YOUR NOT FREE ON TUESDAYS?" Fel laughed "Don't worry she didn't ask if I was. I just was messing with her, and you" Fel added with an evil grin. Ryou grinned back and continued eating his toast then he noticed Fel's grin fade into a frown. Fel spoke first "She says you have to be in even earlier today. Like in twenty minuits. Theres been an accident at the flower shop and they need your help. Ryou did not look pleased, he nodded, finished his toast and went back to his room, he kissed Nathan on the forehead and then kissed Jared. "Bye angels" Ryou said turing back to the living room looking at Fel "Well I better be off now then. I have not woke Nathan or Jared as its too early, I've left them in my room."

"I'll take good care of them." Fel said, "And I'll see you when you get back." Ryou nodded and said goodbye to all that were awake; Fel, Ryu and Jack. Fel sighed looking slightly bored and annoyed. He perked up when he tripped Ryu. Ryu stumbled and looked annoyed "OI! Its to early in the morning for messing" Ryu said disaprovenly. Fel looked bored again, he walked up and sat in the living room on a seprate couch watching Ryu eat his cereal and Jack play on the playstation. Ryu looked rather amazed and annoyed at how easially Jack was playing the game. Someone slipped behind the sofa just as Jack was playing and jumped up and landed on Jack. Jack looked perplexed at first and then smiled. Sitting on his lap, wearing pink stripy pajama's and a black collar, was a boy around Jacks age. The boys hair was spiky and dark, he had a smile on his face. "Gash!" gasped Jack happially. "Hey luvva boy." said Gash winking at him. Gash sat on him stroking Jacks bare chest and played the playstation with him. Fel grinned thinking it was the perfect time to act mishiferly.

"Daddy?" It was a little late for mischief. Nathan had toddled into the room, Jared followed closly behind, looking slightly groggy. Nathan looked alert, looking for his daddy. "Sorry Nath." Said Fel with a frown "Ryou had to go to work much earlia today." Nathan didn't look pleased, he touched his forehead where his daddy had kissed him and he smiled. He got up onto the couch where Fel was sitting and looked out of the window, he sat on the side of the window and stared out. Fel picked up Jared and rubbed his back, he looked sympathetic at Nathan then smiled "How bout some food?" Jared smiled and agreed Nathan however continued to pout silently "No fankyew Fel" Fel shruged and carried Jared off "Its ok Nathan."

Jared soon was in his highchair and eating, Nathan was still looking out the window, Ryu was reading a book, and Jack and Gash were head to head littrually and head to head playing a game. "Come on Nathan" said Jack. "Its not like hes gone forever, its not like hes da.." "WATCH WHAT YOU SAY" yelled Ryu. Jack looked annoyed "All I was gonna say was its not like hes dating" Ryu looked at Jack "Dating? What the hell do you mean? You implying he takes long on dates?" "And are you implying you know what his dates are like?" "Do you?" "No but I was joking." Gash was looking annoyed. Nathan looked upset. Fel had started singing in the kitchen "OH!! What a beutiful morning!!!!"

Ryu mumbled apparantly beaten. Jack looked annoyed and Gash had picked Nathan up. "Its ok kid" Nathan put his head on Gash's chest and smiled. "I fink Im hungwy now" Gash smiled. "Come on then tyke."

The day seemed to be with everyone in low spirets. Jack and Gash were to themselfs. Nathan and Jared were in their playroom. Ryu had gone off into his room to try on dresses. And Fel was on the phone to a man named Sesh. "Your coming over tomorrow? Thats great!" After the phonecall Fel had gone around the whole house singing about it being a beutiful moring even though it was past midday.

The day was indeed rather annoying for many though things got better. Ryu and Jack had carmed down. Ryu appologised, Jack grunted. Him and Gash were still arm in arm. Gash nor Fel dressed. Both Nathan and Jared's diapers were changed and were playing with dinosaur toys. Soon enough Ryou came home, happally greated by everyone, he recieved a huge hug from his son. "Hi sweety!" said Ryou. "You have fun with Jared and unkle Fel?" "Fun?" questioned Fel, grinning. "Hes been in a strop all day" Ryou blinked. "Well he was for awhile when he realised you left while he slept, but he perked up." reasured Fel.

"Ryou?" Gash called. "Yes Gash?" "Why does Nathan call Fel unkle? And Jared call you unkle? Your not brothers." Ryou chuckled and said "Yeah but it makes them feel like a famally. You know kids they love everyone including Jack even if he doesn't say he loves them back." "I don't" said Jack. "Yes yew dew" said Jared smiling. Jack grunted and sat with Gash.

Shmoogy had finally joined everyone in the house. He had decided to sleep in. "Hi guys." He said cheerfully. He was glad to see everyone in happy moods. He went over to Fel and started to talk to him. "Trying to keep out of all the trouble aye Shmoo?" asked Fel. "What no I was sleepy, gimme a break I slept on the couch last night." Shmoogy laughed.

The day continued nicely everyone in high spirets, except Jack who always looked unhappy. Shmoogy especially as he seemed always happy. Nathan had cheered up with Ryou holding him, Gash and Jack still sitting with each other, Ryu enjoying his book, Fel and Shmoogy talking about Sesh, Jared was playing the playstation with difficaulty but happially. The only ones not around were a man named Tuggerfub and Sesh. Tugger, Ryu's boyfriend and Sesh, Fel's. They all new that they'd arrive the next day...
