34 - Chart Midweek Extra
Hi.

UK charts:

So, currently this week, we have a battle for the top 10. We have 4 new entries, from Sean Paul ("She Doesn't Mind" wink , Labrinth ("Last Time" wink and the new Katy Perry track entitled "Part Of Me", finally JLS's "Proud". One other new entry was Angel with "Go In Hard", due to enter at #35.

Katy Perry appears to be top at the moment, with Sean Paul behind her and Labyrinth lagging behind at #3. In terms of midweeks, it hasn't been this close since the end of August 2011, when Will Young, Calvin Harris and the Olly Murs collaboration with Rizzel Kicks were due to enter the chart. Will Young lost the battle, entering at #5 instead of the midweek #3 with "Jealousy". Olly Murs won the chart war, debuting at #1 with "Heart Skips A Beat", and went on to outsell Young and his other contender, "Feel So Close", by Calvin Harris.

Therefore, Gotye is left at 4, after being number 1 for 5 weeks; JLS debuts at 5. Nicki Minaj and David Guetta are at 6 and 7, with "Titanium" outselling most of the songs so far that outsold it last week; Emeli Sande tumbles 5 to #9.

Pretty much the rest of the top 40 is a similar story with large'ish drops felt everywhere. In fact, only 3 singles are forecasted to climb a place, whilst the other 32 singles are non-movers/fallers.
