28 - Guess I'm back (Feb '12)
Hi

I guess I'm back. I'll be moving to college (hopefully) in September so I won't really be able to Gaia whilst I'm at college as it'll suck up my free time.

The last day I got into Gaia before 2012 (2011, even) was October 2010. That's how out-of-date the BG world is for me. I've noticed some pretty different changes.

No-one has lower-end tanks anymore. By this I even include the [old] classic Lawnshark and Outlaw Wolf tanks. I've only seen 1 of both so far and I've returned for 3 days. I have also seen 1 full Alpha Gram tank. But that's really it on the low-end front, besides from a very cheap Laceback tank.

It feels like the old classic tanks have been forgotten about in arrival of cheaper Stone Coatls and Airsharks, which isn't really right - other members aren't rich to even risk the chances of making profit from either tank let alone afford either at around 300k each (still expensive). And yet, around 50k for a lawn or a wolf...

...which leads me onto a huge complaint - The lack of the old 'love' (when tanks like Lawn/Wolf would get full games in 2010) has also led to a total 0 on bumps. Well, not truly 100%, but most of the time. It's not even just cheaper tanks facing the problem - even Coatl tanks are suffering. In 2010 bumping was pretty much a natural action, turns out not even good tanks give users a reason to bump! That's pretty pathetic really. No bumps will result in little or no profit. :<

Recently, the new Lite fish have come to spotlite [see what I did there?]. These are fish that are free but can't produce any Gold/don't activate BG. I think these fish are great for fish that were semi-extinct from previous Phin Phang evictions. Some fish haven't been reinstated which is a relief for some. However, fish that were still commonly found (such as the Octopii) will probably have their prices lowered by the new Lite fish as there is little difference between them, besides no BG which isn't immediately obvious to the eye.

Finally, I don't think I'm settling in well to Gaia. People like Solemn Elderweiss or Moonlight_Splendor don't even play anymore which is a real shame.
