Tonight i sit here in this dark house,
listening to the rain outside.
The only consoltation that i have,
is my music that helps me out...

This pain that i feel,
has dulled to a numb feeling.
With it, you helped me deal,
you brought the sun back in to help the healing...

But, this darkness in which I hide,
is the only thing that i feel comfortable with.
You have shown me a better side of life,
but, i fear, it acts as a double edged sword...

You see, here in this house,
voices of my past come out to talk.
They converse with me in this house,
here in the dark...

They offer me advise while i hide,
the pain that i feel is one that they know.
For they have seen me through,
through all the pain that i have seen and know...

You offer me another way out,
but a way not well traveled.
You extend your hand to help me,
but i do not know if i should take it and follow you out...

The rain is coming down steadily now,
it reflects my own turmoil.
These shadows ask me to return,
but you have shown me a new world....

If i stay than i watch you go,
but if i go, there would be a chance of me returning.
I no longer want to cause pain,
for it always seems to follow me...

Pain and misery are close friends of mine,
they deal and receive as they see fit.
Mostly i receive it, but here of late,
they seem to be missing...

Maybe its because of your light,
that shines through my eternal night....
