These shadows that, within i hide,
conceal me from harm.
But you see me here,
and beckon me with your special warmth...

I sit here in my room,
sorrounded by thoughts of you.
You help me see clearly,
in what i wish to do...

I close my eyes once again,
and see you there.
This time by the fire where we were,
tonight, on this night so clear...

We were only together for a short while,
but in that time, we both were happy.
And that alone, banished the thoughts,
that continue to try and pull me down...

That fire burned burnly,
like your light does to my shadows.
It burns away the pain and guilt,
that, for me, thought would never fade...

These shadows that i now hide,
only conceal me from the harm.
That the outside world, on me tried,
but that does not matter now, thanx to your charm...

I am still continually plagued,
by people that do not see.
What draws us together,
they instead try and tear us apart...

But they cannot understand,
the pain that we both have been through.
And possibly hope,
to tear the two halves apart...
