Tonight i sat outside,
and looked up at the night sky.
How far away they look,
if only we could fly...

Your light has given me new wings,
to see how far i can actually go.
Where before i was ready to die,
i felt like i was fighting through eternal snow...

I felt so cold on the inside,
constantly battered by the pain.
I was so close to the edge,
not seeing it through the pouring rain...

You stopped me from going over,
by taking my hand.
What would've happened?
Had i gone over?

Things feel so much better,
here on the darker side.
So many friends that come here,
to wait out their stormy weather...

But we each have our own light,
to help us see.
Though some of us have extinguished it,
you help me to see...

She came back to me tonight,
after you had gone.
She cannot hope to see,
that she drives me into my eternal night...

She is a causer of pain,
one of my many conspirers.
Soon i may be able to leave them,
into a night filled with stars...

Soon i may be able to start again,
where we had left off.
But first i must take care,
of what remains better off...

I will always be haunted,
by these conspirers of pain.
But you help me heal,
and stop this constant rain...

Are you able to see?
What you are doing to me?
I can see that i am able to help you,
but you still hide so much pain...

I can see it there,
when you open your eyes.
When we are just sitting,
and you stare off into space...

You just smile and say everything is all right,
but what lies behind there?
That you try and hide,
while we walk here, in the moonlight...

I want to be able to help you,
to help you heal your pain.
As you have done for me,
you have finally stopped this rain...

Soon we can start again,
and walk down this new road.
To forget about the pain,
that to both of us, goads...
