Why is it that everytime my life looks up,
people try and pull me back down?
I don't ever want to end up,
At the wrong end of somebody's round...

My world is filled with shadows,
in which i can hide.
She comes to me daily now,
we're now in for a ride...

The world is continually going against us,
trying to push us apart.
But we can keep on driving on,
because they can't pull two halves apart...

You are the best part of me,
and the world knows it.
They just can't stand the sight of me,
being so happy about it...

If they could only see,
that the more they try to pull us apart.
The more they drive us,
to see each other again...

One day we will be able to leave this place,
to go where we can be together.
So that this world that we live in,
will never see us forever together...

Why must we do this?
Why does the world hate us so?
Do they not see,
they pain they deal us so?

Their pain drives us into our own shadows,
away from each other's light.
But somehow we need to find,
the way that is right...
