To Whom It May Concern:
I'm addicted to something.
To Whom It May Concern:
I cut my right leg most nights.
To Whom It May Concern:
Three people know of this.
To Whom It May Concern:
I am afraid to tell. I fear the reaction of my friends; I fear being treated differently, as though I am emotionally unstable.
To Whom It May Concern:
I am not dumb because of this. I am book smart. The typical self cutter is middle to upper class with average to above average intelligence, unlike what many people think.
To Whom It May Concern:
My father is the reason for my cutting. He ignored me as a child, which caused childhood stress, one of the leading causes of self-mutilation.
To Whom It May Concern:
Cutting is an addiction. It releases euphoria in the brain, causing stress to go away. Many people say that it gives them a rush of excitement.
To Whom It May Concern:
I am quitting. It is the hardest thing I have ever done, and everyone who knows either thinks I'm going Emo or am a porcelain doll that could break at any moment.
To Whom It May Concern:
I've been afraid to tell. I still am. And I have put myself through more stress by trying to decide whether I should.
To Whom It May Concern:
I am afraid of the reaction of those closest to me, those who would freak out if I began to cut.
To Whom It May Concern:
I need my friends now. I need them to be there for me as I quit, and as I go through counseling.
To Whom It May Concern:
I'm afraid of my future, and of those who wait out there.
To Whom It May Concern:
I am an addict. But I can will change.

Sara's Writing Stash
I love writing, and this is where I put all of my short stories.
I love it when people look at my stories and tell me what they think!
