Well, I didn't give many details on the accident, so I thought that for the people interested I would describe a little more.

We had been on the road for 4 hours since traffic wasnt bad so early. In clevland Ohio dad started to feel it coming on, but he didnt want Beth to drive through Clevland so he was going to wait until the highway dropped down to 2 lanes in order to switch over.

In Avon, Ohio, about 5 minutes from the switching point, dad had a seizure and passed out at the wheel. All of us kids were sleeping, and woke to the sound of the car farts (you know those things on the side of the road to let you know you're drifting). Soon we were rocking and shaking, I looked over to see my dad's eyes shut and head slumped. He had the car on cruise control so we kept going. I nthe blink of an eye we slammed into the wire guardrail and bounced off, only to come back and smash it again. When we finally stopped me and Beth had been screaming to dad to wake up. The airbags didnt go off until after the car stopped.

The woman driving behind us was a PA (pysisians assistant), and the one behind her was a pysisian, so we had 2 doctors there right away. The PA opened my door to see if I was alright while the doctor was tending to dad. There was a giant crack in the window in front of me, so they thought I had hit my head. Beth had called 911 as did a semi-trucker who had stopped on the other side of the road. Dad woke up and told Beth to call grandma, but Beth was too shaken up to talk and handed me the phone. I told them where we were (I had seen the Toledo sign and asked if we were in Cleveland and they said no Avon) and grandma said she would send grandpa out.

they couldnt figure out how to get Beth out of the back, and she was complaining of neck pain. They wanted to pull the top of the convertable off, but the car wouldnt start so it was a no go. I dont know how they got her out, I think they slid her, because they had taken me out of the passenger seat and into the ambulance on a straight-board. My lower back and right leg started to hurt. We got into X-rays and we were all fine, so we were discharged after 2 hours, or at least Beth and I were. Aaron was discarged immediatly because he was dancing in the Xray room. dad was next against medical advice.

at 5pm we were on our way back to New York.
