I stand here in front of you.
Different from you,
my scars different from yours,
my thoughts,
my dreams,
my goals.
All different from you.
You come from an unsimilar world in a different time.
I start to ponder what your life would be.
Is it better than mine?
Is it happier than mine?
Is it easier than mine?
You unrelenting stare disturbs me in a way that I cannot explain.
In my head are many violent and savage thoughts that conspire to your horrible demise.
Though, you have not wronged me, but I have wronged you.
I stare harder and my vision of you blurs.
I curl my fist as my rage and my violence stream down my face.
My anger grip tightens into a clinched ball of unnatural fury.
There’s a moment that seems to pass in silence and then I unleash my hatred in a
blazing red.
A million pieces of the mirror fly with some deeply penetrating into my clinched fist.
But you’re gone, gone forever,
and I was your destroyer.
I sigh and settle into my blackness.
