Let’s see…
My motivated, new-years-resolution-y attitude seems to have died a bit. It’s so much easier to muster up will power when you’ve had enough sleep, you know? I’m a bit disappointed in my self because of the way that I’ve been handling some of the situations in my life right now. I’m also a bit apprehensive about some of the personality changes that I’ve made in the last few months; it feels like I’m losing a bit of myself, even if most of the changes are good.
On a brighter note, I’m really enjoying my social life right now. I’m getting to know a bunch of people that I’ve been around every day, but haven’t paid much attention to before. They’re actually really fun and I’ve got to wonder what’s kept me from talking to them more before now. It’s really nice to know that I can strike up a conversation with someone new (or sort of new) and not get shot down.
Mmmm, now for the little things in life…
I got tarot cards from Grace for Christmas, so I spent about a half hour memorizing the first suit of them on Monday. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do all 78, but it’s worth a try, right? This way I got to have a bit of fun doing readings before class today.
Our play in theatre is probably going to be something about Peter Pan dealing with real world issues, like obesity. We were thinking about Peter growing up, but we got hung up on the title of ‘Peter hits puberty’ and decided that that probably wasn’t a good idea. With a person like Nash in our group, what do you expect?
Our lunch group at school has kind of died now that a bunch of people have started up one act. It’s quite sad, because things were really starting to click. I don’t quite know what I’m going to do about it, but I’m not exactly happy with the three person lunch group that we’ve been reduced to. Perhaps I’ll go back to eating in the commons with my Spence friends on B-days…
Biology has gotten really fun lately because Mel and Dylan moved into our class. Even if I’m not learning a thing in there anymore I’m having a blast. I’m really glad to have a second class with Mel and I’ve never had anything With Dylan before, so it’s especially entertaining.
That’s all for now. ~Liz
