A good friend of mine from work is currently in the hospital. The doctors say she has about 2-4 days to live, as far as we know. She has small cell cancer. I went to see her today and I was really shocked. Yeah, she's always been sort of skinny, but she was just skin and bones. Normally when people say this, they aren't serious. I'm being literal here. And she basically doesn't have any hair because she was going through chemo and radiation, but now she's too thin to get the treatments. It's just shocking how quick everything has been. It's been about 6 weeks since she left work.
One of my chiropractors, Heather, also has cancer. I guess it's just one of those years. She has cancer in her leg, from what I hear. She has to carry a bag around which is her chemo therapy. She's really healthy and everything, so this was a big surprise.
