My boyfriend and I were betting. He said the library was open. I said it was closed. And then I asked what the stakes were. "A kiss," he replied. I blushed, but agreed. The library WAS open. That was yesterday.

Today, we planned to kiss after school in the corner of the library. I lied to my mom and said I was signing up for the poetry contest and was going to be late. Then my boyfriend and I met up and went to the library. We sat in the corner, and we opened a big book and "read". We leaned in close; we were both nervous. It was going to be my first kiss, and knowing my boyfriend, it was probably his first, too. However, the nerves got the best of me. "We don't have to do this," I whispered. We both sighed a sigh of relief.

Honestly, I wanted to kiss him. But we hugged, and maybe tomorrow we'll hold hands....
