I am feeling a little down and angry at myself. I just sat an online numerical reasoning test for a graduate position job application and I really stuffed it up. I was not allowed to get help, but have since been informed that following the rules for an online test is stupid, because others WILL cheat and WILL (most definitely now) get ahead of me.
Ratios and percentages and adding and subtracting and averages - sometimes all in the one question, or so it seemed. I did the practice test 3 times until I got 6 out of 7 right and then the practice bit they added at the beginning of the real test, I got both of them right! So why did I have to crash and burn? Why didn't I cheat? Stupid moral fiber...they say if you stick to your principles it will be recognised...my only hope now is that others stuffed it up as badly as I did.
Oh well, I go to a testing centre for another application, so I was selected for the next round, which is good, but there will be another numeracy test...I need to find a tutor...fast!!!!
Hmmm...hopefully I will feel more optimistic in the morning.
