May
~She wasn't very known through out this world. She was a complete stranger actaully. A lost one at that. May didn't really know where to go, nor did she know who to go to. May looked around, scared and a little nervous. What was she to do? what would happen to her now? Everything seemed to move so fast. As if life was on fast forward, and she couldnt get it back to normal. Her hazel eyes sparkled in the morning sunlight. She looked up into the sky to discover a cloudless blue horizon. May looked straight to find what seemed like a never ending terrain of the prettiest tourquose she had ever seen in her life. It sparkled in the morning sun, as much as her hazel eyes did. What beauty she thought as she walked along the shore line. What elegance. May stopped for a moment and stared up at the sky again. What would she do now? She seemed to have everything, even though really in her mind she knew she had nothing. She seemed lost and found, and she wondered if she could stay here on the shore line looking up at the never ending blue sky for the rest fo her life. May looked back at the ocean once again. No, something was missing. Something that May had to find and something that she couldn't live without. No, not something, someone. His name, was John.~

~She looked up into the once blue sky. Memories from her past flowed over her like the waves in the ocean infront of her. Confused, she staggered to the shore. Her eyes filled with tears, though she did not know why, she fell to her knees. The evening ocean breeze swept over and through her, blowing her long golden hair side to side. This girl was truly a beauty to behold, though that may have been true on the outside, on the inside was an empty, lifeless, soul. She looked out into the never ending tourquose. Her hazel eyes glisened like the stars above. May closed her eyes ever so gently and slowly. This was it she thought. The end of the world. May opened her eyes to reveal nothing more but a sand patch, and beyond that, nothingness. She tried to stand, and as she did she felt the sand crumble underneath her. She tried to keep her balance, but it was no use for the sand completey faded away into the darkness, then she fell too. It had seemed like forever falling through that darkness, though May knew it had only been a matter of moments. She tried to look underneath her to at least see where she was falling, but it was no use for the darkness was to thick for even the greatest eyes. Something told her that she would never reach the end, that this would be her fate for the rest of eternity, falling. She kept spiraling down and down, farther into the nothingness. May closed her hazel eyes yet again, in hopes it would all go away. Within a matter of moments, the ocean breeze had reterned, and May felt the sand underneath her bare feet. She opened her eyes, only to reveal darkness. May had now reached some kind of land, though she could not see it, she knew it was there for it was the only thing holding her from falling yet again. Confused, she wondered through the darkness for hours. She still found nothing. She fell to her knees again, and closed her eyes as tightly as she possibly could. A few tears ran out, and she tried to whipe them away. All this was..his fault she thought. She loved him with every ounce of strength in her body, but he always just turned his back. Lost in her own thoughts, she didn't realize that she had completey collapsed to the ground. Her hazel eyes still sparkling from her tears, she let out a sigh, then closed those eyes for the final time, and the darkness consumed her.~

~With nothing left, May felt hopelessly lost. Her hazel eyes had gone dim, and her heart had gone weak. She tried to stand, but just could not find the strength. She looked around, to discover nothing but darkness still. The last thing she remembered was being swallowed by darkness. Now, here she lie feeling empty hearted and weak. What had happened she asked herself. May wondered if she were dead, but she knew that could not be true. She slowly closed her now dim hazel eyes again, still hoping all this would go away. May opened her eyes to still discover nothingness. She let out a tear or two, then when she was done crying she finally got enough strength to stand. Carefully she lifted herself up. When she looked around, she truly felt alone. There was nothing. She put a hand to her chest, to reveal that her heart was gone. May cried more in disbeleife. This couldn't be true could it? She felt for her pulse...none. What had happened she wondered. She started to walk again, not really noticing it, for she was to lost in her own thoughts. So many questions ran through May's head, and so many that she thought could never be answered. She finally stopped, and let out a long sigh. Surly this couldn't be happening. it was all a bad dream. All of it..Just when May was about to give up all hope though, she saw something. Something in the distance that shimered in the darkness. She gasped and thought that finally this would all be over. Finally she could return to the world. May ran towards the light she saw, tears flowing down her face. So many things racing through her head. She started to scream, "Finally, finally I can go back!" May reached what she saw as a door back home. Despertly, she ran into the light, not even looking back to see where she had been. The light was so bright to her that she closed her eyes tightly and stopped in her tracks. She couldn't even begin to open her hazel eyes to see the world. With no where else to go, she ran back into the dark. She opened her eyes finally and stared into the light "portal" as she knew it to be. Why, why couldn't she stand the light? She put her hand out into the light, only to pull it back suddenly. When she took a look at her hand, she saw it to be burned. With nothing else to do, May cried more. What was happening to her? She took a few moments, then took one last glance at the beautiful bright world, then she sighed and walked back into the darkness. It seemed like this was now her home.~

~May wondered for hours on end, tears still streaming down her face. She started in a slow walk, then a jog, and before she knew she was running. May ran through he darkness as fast as she could, hoping, praying that she would get out. The light had burned her, and the darkness had scared her emotionally. May didn't know where to go anymore. No where truly seemed like home anymore to her. After a while, May stopped and collapsed yet again to the floor. She cried and cried, though she knew it would do her no good. Everything seemed to be swallowed by the darkness, including her. After she had stopped her crying, she sat up and just stared into the darkness. May looked behind her and all around her only to find this darkness. The light portal had gone, and now she was alone yet again. So tired and weak from all the running and crying, May couldn't seem to find the strength to lift herself up and walk more. May went to lay down, but as she did she felt the ground underneath her fade. Just like before, it started to crumble away. But unlike before, as the ground cracked and crumbled, light shown through. May stared in disbelief. Light, she thought, then she remembered her latest experience with the light and May backed away. Would this light burn her also? Would this time, instead of fading into dark, she would fade into light? The last bit a ground crumbled away, and she let out another tear as she fell into the brightness. This fall was not so great asthe last though. It ended within a matter of moments. May slowly opened her eyes, trying to look into the brightness of her suroundings. When May completely opened her eyes, she didn't see just light. No, May saw more. She felt more then just the emptiness of her heart. She stood up slowly and looked around. May reconized what she saw, it was the ocean and the blue sky. She felt the light ocean breeze upon her. May reached for her chest in hopes she would feel her heart beat, but still, even though all her suroundings were back, her heart was not. She felt no reason to cry anymore. Her hazel eyes shimered yet again in the morning sun. Had she been in darkness all night? Was it finally over? She felt her chest again, no. It couldn't be over, not till her heart had returned. May let out a long sigh, then she smiled a little before walking along the shore and staring up at the cloudless forever blue sky. She knew something was missing besides her heart, she had this feeling all along. Even before the darknes came, she felt alone. May continued to walk, still looking up at the sky. Was she finally home, though her heart was not? May knew this was her home, but she also knew that she had to find her heart. She closed her eyes for a while, and just stood there, her hair still blowing in the breeze. When May opened her eyes, she was not at the beach, not anymore. She was in bed. It was a cozy little room, decorated with flowers. May looked around, only to find that there was not a soul in sight. But...This time, she felt it. Her heart, she felt it again. May gasped and felt her chest, yes, it was there. What, what had just happened? she wondered. She was just in darkness, now she was home, and her heart had returned. may let out another sigh, and fell back on the bed in relief. Finally, she thought. Finally she was home.~

~After a while, May had gotten out of the soft silky bed and was exploring the house. She had never seen this house before she thought. But for some reason she was brought here, and for some reason this place felt as close to home as she would ever get. It was so cozy inside, that May couldn't help but smile the whole time. She ran outside, still smiling. But when she did get outside, her smile quickly faded. May looked around to find nothing. She was on an island. She ran to the other side of the house, and all the way around it; nothing. It was like a floating island, and beneath it and all around it, was oblivion. May ran back inside, trying to still feel the comfort and warmth of the cozy little place, but she could no longer. She wanted to scream, scream and cry. But May knew that instead of just curling up into a ball and crying, she had to do something. She went back over to the silk bed and sat down for a moment. May tried to arrange her thoughts for the longest time, so that maybe she could find some way to get out of all this. May took a long deep sigh and then fell back on the bed. This was it, she had given up for there was no escaping the dark, and she knew this. May just wished that once more she could see his face. Just tell him how much she adored him, even if he turned his back on her. Lost in her thoughts yet again, she started to hear a soft slow tune. She looked over at the night stand to find a music box. It was so sad that May couldn't help but cry a little. Not even bothering to turn it off, May fell back again on the bed. She closed her eyes, still crying, and under her breath she said, "I love you." Though she knew he could never hear these words, she still spoke them. All she wanted in this life was for him to love her the way she loved him. She dreamed that one day this would be true, that one day they would live happily ever after just like the fairy tales. May took another sigh. Now she knew that this would never become relatity, for she was stuck in this oblivious world all alone, and she would never see John again. And John would never know her true feelings.~
