Darkness, a shadow, falls over me.
My judgment has already been cast.
Eyes clouded to the point where I can't see.
Thinking things out is always left for last.
Indigo fire points out the way.
Hard to tell what's really right and wrong.
I should never be allowed to stay.
I don't know if I can be here that long.
Purified light, reconstructs my withered soul.
Show me how worldly lifetimes are spent,
clean up this life that's been smeared in coal.
Maybe my mind can be put up for rent.
Forever bound to the reaches of space.
Soon to vanish, without even a trace.

- Description: I wrote this poem a few years back when I used to be all doom and gloom status. I used to think the absolute worst about everything. Especially during the holidays.

- but doesn't doom and gloom make for the most meaningful beautiful poetry? I don't know about you but I'm tired of the "life is beautiful, the world is perfect" lie. I'd rather hear something meaningful that might one day make the worlds poeple realize waht they're ding wrong. 5/5
