• Chapter 3

    Letter

After school that day, and after encountering my new friends I suppose, I went home just to relax. My parents left for work early this morning and still weren't home so I went to my room to relax and do homework. I sighed and dreaded the essay I had to write for my English class. But at least it was on Romeo and Juliet. Something I could at least be a little interested in.
I wrote about a half a page on the subject and decided to do the ending paragraph tomorrow. Reading my emails is all I wanted to do next. Then maybe get some rest.
I started up the computer and while it loaded I got out my text book and read Act one Scene three of Romeo and Juliet. It was boring but at least it kept my attention. I turned back to the computer and it was covered in pop-up ads. I sighed and started deleting them. Then in the back of all of them I found a new email, from someone I didn't recognize. I opened it worried it was from a rapist. But it was someone I didn't in the least expect....Jordan...I stared at it confused and shocked. I didn't get why he would email me....And how did he get my email? Did I give it to him?
I shrugged it off and read it out loud, “Dear Lindsey, I'm sorry to bother you, but I wanted to say sorry I wasn't showing you around the school today. I wanted to give you a tour. I thought it would be nice. But I hope to talk to you soon. From: Jordan Collins.
I stared at the letter in amazement. How did he get a hold of me...really....Oh well. He was nice anyway, so I replied, "Thanks Jordan, I'll see you tomorrow."
But I knew I had to sleep. If I was going to talk to him tomorrow, I didn't want to embarrass myself. So I got in bed. I really couldn't afford to lose any chances to make new friends. I needed them.

That night I had a nightmare....and he was in it.
