• Grayskies opened his royal blue eyes. Nothing prompted him to awake; it had become natural for him to rise at the hour of the day. It was something biological that he had gotten used to. He slowly rose from the soft mattress he laid on, red sheets falling off his upper body, revealing a pale, faintly scared body. A few puncture scars still lingered from the night before, and he touched them with a faint smile. Eventually, even they would fade from sight.

He looked to his right at the first vampire to ever share a bed with him in almost a hundred years. Only, the last person to ever spend a day with him left before he woke last time and only left an enraging letter. The memory was too painful for him to actually recall, and he didn’t want to think about the past with this beautiful creature in his bed. He laid back down next to Andre, on his side, softly stroking his body as Andre slept on his side as well. Andre shifted in his sleep just a bit, letting out a small groan in his sleep. A small, almost inaudible beep went off from a wall somewhere in the dimly lit room, only distracting Grayskies from giving Andre’s body attention for a brief moment.

Suddenly, a small sliver of moonlight pierced the darkness of the bedroom, falling on Grayskies’ and Andre’s forms, and slowly widening, revealing that half the room was actually a curved window pane that was once covered by a sheet of steel. It circled around, revealing more of the full moon’s light as it tucked inside the walls of the other half of the room. Grayskies looked up at the winter night sky, speckled with stars that twinkled like diamonds amongst a black sea of void. The moon dominated the night though with its bright luminescence, bathing Andre and himself in its light and making his pale form glow slightly.

Grayskies felt a stir under his hand, and looked down to see Andre slowly rousing from his sleep. He opened his beautiful brown eyes, and Grayskies could see how much he had changed in such a short time. Those eyes were now the color of dark brown amber, glowing as if there was a flash light behind them. Where once, Grayskies lured Andre into his stare, he felt like he was being lured into those eyes instead. For what felt like an eternity, Grayskies simply stared into them, watching how they glinted in the bright moonlight, almost fiery.

“Goodnight.” Andre said, and Grayskies gave a small little snort of a laugh at the pun. He smiled at Andre, closing his eyes half way as he stroked his hand slowly down the younger vampire’s side. Andre actually purred under the touch, closing his eyes at the warmth he felt from Grayskies’ hand. He recalled how they used to be chillingly cold, but he didn’t feel like questioning the change in sensations right now. He simply left it up to the change that had taken place throughout the day.

Andre looked at Grayskies’ chest, seeing his pale skin riddled with puncture scars, and gave a gasp as he touched them one at a time. “I’m so sorry.” He looked at Grayskies who simply pressed a finger to his lips. “Don’t worry. I will be fine.” He removed the finger and slowly leaned closer to Andre, and pressed his lips to the younger’s mouth instead.

Grayskies’ tongue instantly slid inside the Andre’s, wrestling as he cupped Andre’s head and pulled his lips tighter in that soft brush. His tongue instantly went for Andre’s newly acquired fangs, and he pressed it up into them, breaking the skin and leaking a few drops of blood into his mouth. Andre instantly began to suckle, feeling the crimson fluid wash over his tongue. The irony taste fueled his need for more, but Grayskies teased, and pulled his tongue back out, leaving the younger vampire with a hungry look on his face.

“You were just hungry” Grayskies smiled and moved to the edge of the bed, still nude from the day he had spent with Andre. He stood up and began to walk away. Andre watched his every step, and admired the lithe, athletic body walking slowly away from him. He smiled at how pale Grayskies looked. The lack of the sun light leaving his body a cream white, but there was something beautiful about it. Andre was not quite as white, having just been changed.

Grayskies grabbed a towel off the wall and suddenly seemed to disappear into the wall. Andre quickly got up to follow, finding that the wall wasn’t uniform all the way around, breaking half way around and widening out to the actual radius of the room. Andre looked down, seeing his nude form, and grabbed another one of the crimson towels off the egg white wall. He wrapped it around his body and followed Grayskies downstairs.

Andre emerged from the bathroom first, his brown hair straightened, dressed in some clothes Grayskies found that would actually fit him. They were old clothes the older vampire hadn’t worn in decades, and they actually fit Andre fairly decently. Faded blue jeans with a few tiny wear holes and a pink t-shirt with the letters “H.O.S.A.” written on it. Grayskies simply explained that it was something that he used to do when he was still mortal, and that it had come in handy as a vampire. Andre just shrugged and wore it, since he didn’t have any clean clothes around.

Grayskies was next to come from the bathroom, his caramel colored hair combed and gelled to and off centered faux hawk. His choice of clothing was a bit darker, wearing a pair of girl’s black tripp pants with blue ribbons laced in the sides tied into bows and a blue Underarmor shirt drawn tight about his upper body. Andre wanted to touch him so badly with that short sleeved shirt on, and Grayskies seemed to be able to tell as he walked up to the younger vampire a who sat at a bar stool of a corner apartment on the top floor of a six story apartment building.

Grayskies stood in front of Andre, touching both of his thighs and pulled them to the opposite sides of the stool and eased forward slowly, leaning against the bar stool between Andre’s legs. Andre stroked over Grayskies’ chest, sliding his hand up slowly to his shoulders before touching his neck, and finding two scars that were just slightly raised. Grayskies turned his head to the side slowly.

“My first marks.” Grayskies closed his eyes and gave a toothless smile.

“I’m sure they have a story.” Grayskies’ smile faded as he looked back into Andre’s bright brown eyes. The look on his face was one of intense agony.

“It is not a happy one.” Andre moved his hand up to Grayskies’ cheek and softly rubbed it.

“It’s okay. You can tell me.” Andre gave Grayskies a fanged, tender smile.

“I was nineteen when I was changed, just like you…” Grayskies began, with a happier look on his face as Andre attempted to cheer him up.
