• Miles and miles away in the nation of Australia, Sidney. Inside an opera house filled with luxurious fabrics in reds and golds. It was a full house and the loud voices of opera stars waved through the room. Behind a long sheer red curtain, In a private box on the balcony, sat a man. He wore a purple fur coat with black spots. His hair was long and white and he wore dark black sunglasses that reflected the bright stage lights. He. Was James Starling. He jerked suddenly, his eyes brows raised. Something wasn't right. There was a feeling that hadn't been with him in so long he had forgotten what it felt like.

James looked around him he sensed something, a demon. He raised from his seat and quickly moved down from the balcony. Everyone in the main hall turned and stared as he opened and shut the main door, it was very old and detailed but it made a loud screeching sound. He went out into the black night, street lights shined down on his shoulders making a long slim shadow on the sidewalk, he approached a long black car. He opened the door and got into the back seat, he whispered to the the driver "Go around the block a few times." He lowered his glasses and peered over their rims out the tinted windows into the streets. He scanned the dirty roads as they drove very slowly. He was searching for the feeling he knew was there. The car stopped in the middle of the road. The drivers head fell to the steering wheel.

James got out of the car, a dark figure stood blocking the road. "What the hell do you want?" James asked, his voice was feminine and sarcastic. He tossed the side of his coat over and placed his hand on his hip. "Well come on, I don't have all day." The figure shifted and raised it's hooded head, it's blood red eyes shining out. "Your little sister wont wake up." The demon said in a voice darker than the night. "What the hell are you talking about!?" James asked. "I don't have a sister!" James did know who the demon was talking about. She was not his sister but someone very very close. Someone he hadn't seen in a very long time. He carried on pretending he had no idea who this demon was speaking of. He tried not to act like his heart was pounding into his throat, not to act like he couldn't breathe. "Your not lieing to me, your lieing to yourself." The demon grumbled. "You know who I am referring to, she is in fatal danger. Will you come willingly?" James bared down on his teeth. "I will come." He hissed.

The two of them, James and the Demon, disappeared. Only James reappeared inside a dark bedroom. A man in a long black caped uniform suit, detailed with silver chains and patches. He was stroking the long dark drown hair of a young woman. She lay in the bed covered by dark red sheets and a black silk blanket. The mans eyes shifted to James, "Are you him?" He asked. "Who is 'him'?" James returned. "James Starling." "Yes." "She asked for you....before..." The man stopped. "W-well she wont wake up..."

(Next chpt. you will find out who the mysterious man is and who James really is to this "Little Sister." wink
