• I was standing in an alley. It was dark, cold, and smelled of murder. I began to walk, but something stopped me. I had the feeling I was being watched. I saw a glimpse of movement to my left, so I turned. A shadow ran pass. I began to run, my heart pounding in my chest, not from the exercise but the sudden fear that overcame me. Footsteps. I began to run faster. Then, the alley disappeared.
There I was, standing on water. The water was black, just like the sky. The grass was grey and never ending. No matter where you look, there was grey grass. The air was suffacating, like breathing in smoke. Butt hat didn't matter. Color. I wanted color. I look up, hoping a blast of light will fall down on this barren land. There was none. No sun, no moon, no stars. "drip" The sudden sound startled me. I turned around. Nothing. To my left, nothing as well.
Then, I looked down. The black water had turned red. Ilook back up. There was no more grey grass, no more black sky. The suffacating air was gone. Now it smelled of blood. I didn't know where I was. Everywhere was covered in blood. The walls, the floor, the ceiling. In the middle was the pool of blood I was in. There was a door to the far left. You could hear the screaming cries of those being tortured. Those cries pained me. They were sharp and not human. The cries stop, the door opens, and a man walks in. He sits on a chair which was not there before. It was made of bones.
He began to speak. " It is nice for you to join us." Us, I thought. There is no one hear but me and him. "You must be wondering who else is here. My wife is preparing dinner> We will be eating shortly. I am honored to have you as a guest you know. I haven't seen you since you were just a baby."
Despite my fear, I called out to him. "Who are you? I am not from here. You must have me confused with someone else."
"Oh? It pains me to see that you don't remember your own father."
"What? I don't believe you! My parents died in the war, noble and heroic. I was left to my father's brother, Cid. He has cared for me since I was a child!"
"But haven't you realized that you are different. You desire to kill. Isn't that why you became an assassin. What is it they call you? Ansatsusha Yori Naraku. Assassin from hell"
"Shut up! You know nothing about me!" I was angry. How can he assume without knowing. "I do everything for a reason!"
"Then what is you reason for killing my son?"
I wanted to kill this man there and then. I began to run at him.
"Wake up!" I stopped running. Who could be calling me? Something hit my head, and I woke up.
"Cid, why do you have to be so mean. You kicked me right off the bed. I looked up and there was Cid, standing above me. I don't think I've ever been so happy to see him before.
