• I remember, just like it was yesterday. It has been years to the day, but its so vivid i cant get it out of my mind. It haunts my dreams. The very thing that made me loose my beloved brother, Jason.

She picked up the picture frame that sat on her desk. She ran her fingures accross the glass, where her brothers plastered smiled lay on his face. One that she will never see for herself again, untill she joins him where ever he is.

"Jason, why did you have to leave me?" tears swelled in her eyes. That day she thought why did that happen? She closed her eyes remembering the terror she had felt running away from that monster that prey on the innocent.

"Kayla, i need you to promis me something" her brother said breathing heavily. he had been running, and running hard.

"What is it, jason. w..what's going on?" she asked starting to get scared. Her brother took her hand.

"Don't ever get caught alone at night. Dont leave mom, ever, she needs someone, and im affraid i can be that someone." his eyes were full of tears. Kayla put her hand on his face, trying to comfort him. She had no idea what was going on, but she hated to see her brother sad.

A noise came from behind them. He gasped and started to breath fast. "Keep our family safe."

"Jason, you need to tell me, W..whats going on?" He took her in his arms holding her close to him. he held her tight, reluctant to ever let go. When he did she was crying. His hands lingered on her shoulders and forced her to look up at him.

"I need you to run. Run and never look back."

    "Im not leaving you."

"You have to. These things will not stop til' they get what they want. And right now they want me. You can still get out of here." he pushed her into a hole that only she could fit in. "Stay here until its safe. I love you. Dont forget that." he bent in and kissed her forehead. she clutched his hand, never letting go.

"What are these things?" she asked through tears that mixed with the ran that started to fall from the sky, as if the gods were crying for him.

"Vampires." That was all he could get out. Until somthing grabed his leg. He scrame and was pulled away from her.

"Jason!!!!" she screamed. The rain turned red with her brothers blood as the monsters drank from him. She saw there animalistic shadows hovered over his lifeless body.

It was not until the next day that anyone found them. But when she told the police what had happened they didn't believe her. They wrote it off as an overactive imagination from the shock of her brothers death.

She opened her eyes and whiped her tears away from her eyes. She kissed the picture. "I will avenge you my brother." she said puting the frame back on her mahagony desk.

and i will. thats what being me is about. she smiled evily when there was a knock on the door. I kill vampires. she picked up the sword that sat beside her, took it out from the sheeth, and stood up. she walked over to the door, and opened it slowly. As soon as the creature saw the sward he bared his fangs. But before he could get to her he was run through, spilling the blood of his victoms all over the hall of the hotel.

One less of them to worry about she thought. She went back into the room and put the sward back in its sheeth. Then, picking up the picture, she walked out of the room, and headed down the hall. A man walked out of his room, talking on his phone. He droped the phone apon seeing the limp body of the vampire sitting in a pool of blood, sliced in half. He looked up at the elevator. Kayla smiled evily. Right before the doors of the elevator closed, her eyes flashed a blood red.
