• The rest of the school day past Eva by without her taking much notice. And she was so zoned out that she missed her bus. “Oh hell how could I have missed my bus?” She pulled out her cell phone and dialed her mom’s number. It rang three times then her mom answered the phone. “Hey mom, I was asked to stay after school can you come pick me up in like twenty minutes?”

There was a long silence then her mother sighed, “Ok, I will be there in twenty minutes.” With that she hung up the phone.

Eva sighed and sat down on one of the benches that sat in front of the school. She pulled out her home work and started on it. She had just finished it when she saw her mom pull into the parking lot. She put her home work back in her back pack and walked toward the car. She got in, “sorry for this mom. I had forgotten about this club thing.” She smiled weakly at her mother.

Her mother didn’t say anything to her she just started up the car. And they droved back to the house. They drove in silence only the radio made any noise. They had never been close but it had gotten worse after her father left them without a word. They got home with out any trouble. Eva walked in the house and went up to her room. She feed her Fuzzy legs. And then she picked out her out fit for the party.

Then her mom called her for dinner. Eva walked down the stairs and took her place at the table her mother was already eating. Eva started to eat. No one talked only the T.V. in the living room made any noise. After dinner Eva did the dishes while her mother made her self a drink and then she sat down on in one of the armchairs.

Eva finished the dishes and looked at the clock it was 7 o’clock now she had an hour. Till Rafi and the others would be there. She ran to the bathroom. She took a quick shower then she dried her hair and wrapped a towel around her self and went to her room there she got ready. She put on her under garments and then she stepped into her tight black dress. Then she sat down on her bed and pulled on her neon purple fishnets. Then she pulled on a neon purple sweater over the dress. Then she grabbed a silver chain belt and she slipped on her black leather boots with the sliver buckles. She put on some purple eye shadow. And then her phone buzzed it was Rafi. “Hey Rafi what’s up?” She asked as she grabbed her shoulder bag and put her wallet in it.

“There has been a change are you ready because the others aren’t and I am out side of your house.” He said. She could hear his car in the back ground.

Eva looked at her alarm clock it read 7:30pm “Yeah I’m ready. I will be out in a few minutes just let me tell my mom I am going now. Bye.” She hung up the phone with out waiting to hear him say bye back and she stuffed her phone in her bag. She ran down the stairs and stopped in the living room, “ok, mom I am leaving now” She stood there and looked at the chair where her mother was watching T.V.

Her mother didn’t even acknowledge her. Eva left with out a word this happen ever night she didn’t know why her mom hated her but her mom did. And it hurt her every time she was like this. She left the house without a word.

As the front door closed a little girl with flame red hair was looking at the drunken mother and then at the front door. A tear rolled down her little face and she fade with a little wail.

Eva walked down the front walk to where Rafi was waiting. He had on a pair of snow cameo pants. He also had on a blue hoodie. On the back it read ‘So Hot I Am Ice Cold’ He also had on combat boots and a studded collar and arm bands. “Hey there my little Evee. You are one hot hottie!” Rafi said as he looked her up and down.

“Thanks Rafi right back at you.” She said giving him a smile and a hug. “So why where the others late?” she asked him as she got into the car.

He got in the car started it up. “I don’t know. They just sent me a text that said they were both running late. So who should we pick up first?” Rafi looked at Eva from the corner of his eye.

“Well Adem is the close to my house. So let’s pick him up first.” Eva relaxed in the seat. She looked out the window and watched the street light go by as they drove to Adem’s place. The radio was blasting a Linkin Park song she didn’t know what its name was. Rafi sang along and then Eva joined in. They sang each song that came on the radio.

When they pulled up to Adem’s house Rafi honked the horn and Adem came running out he was just pulling on his black trench coat as he walked. He had on a red muscle tee it had a snake skin pattern to it. Its underlying color was black. It had Japanese kanji in white running down the left side. He had on baggy black cargo pains there stitching was red. Adem got in the car.

“Wow you are hot tonight Adem. You are wasted on the women of the world.” Rafi said in a flirtatious voice. He looked Adem up and down in the rear view mirror.

“Cut that out Rafi. You know you know that bugs.” Adem punched the back of his seat. “Sorry, I had to do some last minute family stuff to deal with.” Adem rolled his eyes as he mentioned his family.

Rafi winked at Adem in the review mirror. “You know I am just messing with you. And no problem man I am just glade you texted me that you’d would be late.” Rafi put the car back into drive and they headed to Marie’s house.

They got to Marie’s house and she was sitting on her front step her feet stomping and head bobbing to music that was in her head. She saw them pull up and she danced over to the car. She had on brown bell bottoms. They had flower and smile face patches sown to them. They were all the colors of the rainbow only they where all bright neon. She had on knitted poncho. The poncho had every color under the rainbow. She had a knitted hat and scarf that matched the poncho. As she got in the car she jingled with all the chains and bells she had her waist, wrist, neck, and ears. “Dam we are all smoking tonight.” She said with a giggle.

“Yeah,” Rafi said as he pulled out of her drive way. “It’s too bad we can’t go clubbing. You girls would defiantly get us in.” He reached over and turned up the radio. And everyone started to sing to the music. That was how they pasted the thirty minute drive.
