Beware the monsters who haunt your dreams.
The ones that live in your closets or unders your beds.
These monsters can't harm you, they're all in your heads.
Beware the monsters who walk your street.
They have two eyes and two feet.
They look like a person like any other.
But these real monsters aren't scary-looking, how can you tell?
You can't.
Dear children, say no to strangers.
Say it firm, mean what you say.
These new monsters are here to stay.
And the light does not make them go away.
If I were you, I'd love the monsters in my head.
They, at least, go away when you wake.
Listen to what your parents said.
Don't fear the monsters under your bed.

- Description: Well. i wrote this about a week ago. its kinda free verse with a bit of rhyming thrown in. i wrote this because as little kids we were all afraid of the monsters under our beds, but now there are way worse monsters out there to be afraid of. the real world has become a terrifying place.
