Alien Apocalypse was on the Sci Fi channel again. After watching some of it, I figured I could use it as an excuse to make another journal entry.
Anyway, Alien Apocalypse is a typical Sci Fi original movie, with half decent actors and ok, but not great, special effects. Since it stars Bruce Campbell, it's a funny movie. He has lines like:
-Bruce Campbell shoots guy with cross bow, because he raped a girl and then he was about to go warn the aliens about the rebels.-
"I thought you said you're a doctor. You're supposed to cure people." - the rapist
"I am. Your stupidity is terminal. I just cured it." - Bruce Campbell
-Rapist falls over dead.-
The movie is about astronauts who came back to earth after a few years, to find that humans are enslaved by human sized ant-like aliens. Bruce Campbell plays the astronauts doctor, which is also the main character and hero of the movie.
If you're a Bruce Campbell fan, like I am, then it's worth seeing. If you don't care for his other movies (Evil Dead trilogy and others), then you may not find this one too great.
