So I watched Dead or Alive today. For those who don't know, it's a movie based off of the video games. The title isn't how it sounds. To me, the title suggests yet another zombie movie, but it's far from it. It's actually a fighting movie, similar to the Mortal Kombat movies/games. Their are some DOA games that are volleyball games, which this movie does have 1 volleyball tournament in it (harmless 2 on 2 game, which doesn't actually get to finish). As with the games, the movie has a lot of women in bikinis, fighting. Personally, I've never played a DOA game, but I had already heard about them, so I was expecting that. Surprisingly, I'd actually recommend this movie. The fight scenes are decent, though their are uses of swords, but no blood shed (they do kill people with the swords), so that was a little disappointing. I think the only thing I disliked was the intro. Right away, it shows you the main fighters and foreshadows them winning or getting to the end of the DOA fighting tournament. Not really bad, but it basically says "these girls here will win".
Decent fight scenes, good music, some humor and girls in bikinis, sums up the movie. Probably more of a guy flick, due to all the girls though.
