I'm actually very surprised with the latest addition to the Gaia Cinemas. Burst Angel is one of my favorite animes, that I actually own. I have the entire series, other than the upcoming OVA series, which I actually should look into again. it's been a while since I read anything about it.
Anyway, I highly recommend it to anime lovers out there. It's full of guns, fantastic music and it even has a few large mechs. It's not just anime though. It also has a mix of CGI.
As for the story, I admit, it's not the best. The main females are like bounty hunters. They get hired for different jobs. They end up hiring another member to their team, a young kid who's trying to learn to be a chef (which is the job they hire him for, their chef). So it starts with them hiring him for that, but the story never returns to him wanting to go over seas, to take part in high class chef classes, which was his goal in life.
Other than that part of the story, it's an awesome series.
Oddly enough, just yesterday I had been wanting to watch the series again. I've already seen the entire thing 2-3 times. Ever since I first saw the entire series, I've been using different Burst Angel desktop pictures. I even made a Konfabulator widget that can display a good sized picture of one of the Burst Angel characters, so even any random desktop picture, becomes a Burst Angel desktop picture.
