So for months now, our dryer has been broken. Not really broken broken, but when you put a load in and set the timer, it doesn't stop when the time is up. It just keeps going, so we need to turn it to off ourselves.
Anyway, we made an appointment for Sears to come out and repair it... or so we thought. The guy showed up Saturday, around 8am. He didn't spend more than 5 minutes in the house, just to confirm our report of the timer not working and then he left, after ordering a part. What the heck? I mean, I understand them not knowing exactly could be broken on it, but to not have the potential parts on hand and also to potentially make an appointment that someone would of had to take the day off of work for? That's just bad. They're lucky nobody here had work that day. Anyway, we scheduled for the actual repairs to be done on the 19th. Guess what? The part didn't arrive until today (the 21st), so I had to reschedule the repair date. Now it won't be done until the 26th. I should also point out that the original appointment, for the guy just checking the dryer, was back on the 8th. So it took about 13 days for them (UPS) to ship a small package to us. I'd think it would have only taken maybe 7 days, but no.
Sears sucks.

Sounds to me like the original repairman wasn't prepared for what was wrong with your dryer, and it would seem logical that they would just have spare parts in their repair van. Least they aren't charging you for each separate visit are they?
Hope it gets fixed soon! Your still lucky though, I don't even have a washer & dryer. crying I've got to lug my laundry to an adjacent town to wash it (the one in our town, is absolutely disgusting, and half the time the hot water isn't even hot)
