Today, my sister and her kids went to GameStop, to try and fix the gift card problem I had (apparently $0 is on the card, but should be $15). They also had a sale going on, buy 2 used games or accessories, get 1 free. I also wanted to turn in a few of my old games, which was rather funny. I handed them maybe 5 or 6 GBA games, 1 GBC game and the GameCube Advanced Player (lets you play GBA games on the GameCube). The guys working their were all surprised, saying like "Dude, did you even play these?", since everything, including the booklets, were in mint condition.
Anyway, my sister hands them the gift card and receipt, telling them the problem. The employee said "All we can do is give you the customer service number to call". I was getting annoyed, since the employees had called customer service the first time I went in there.
So after that, I looked at the used games and accessories for a while, but only found one I wanted to try out. Custom Robo Arena, which although the graphics for walking around kind of stink, the battles are great. The reviews I read for it, all pretty much liked it for the battles. From what I've seen, it's rather easy.
Anyway, after GameStop, we all came here (my house) for lunch. They hung around for a while, then they left, to go to their house. My sister called the customer service number and was put on hold for a while. Eventually, she got a hold of someone and told her something not so great... she was told that they can't do anything about it and that we need to return to the GameStop where it was bought at. whee
So... although the employees are nice and they've got a good selection of games, when it comes to problems, they apparently don't know what to do.
