I shivered and slumped. What had he done to me? My senses seemed to be spinning, everything was buzzing. Ah, my head. This wasn’t just dizziness, it felt as if I’d been slipped some kind of hallucinogenic. I clutched at my head and leaned forward.
–It hurts…-
I wanted to pass out again.
Then, Ger was holding my shoulders and talking, but I couldn’t hear. His voice seemed to boom in my ears. I cringed and whimpered, covering my ears and clutching my head.
“Please,” I whispered, “It hurts.” Even my own voice boomed and hurt.
-Is this what that whatever meant by…ngg… newly emerged abilities?-
“Yarrrrgh,” a shot of pain blasted through me. I slumped in Ger’s grasp but at least his voice wasn’t booming anymore and the spinning had stopped.
“Wha…?” I asked blearily. I could actually make sense of what Pretty Boy was saying now.
“What’s wrong my Nick. Come on answer me. Don’t ignore me! Come on!”
“Man… That… hurt.”
“You wouldn’t answer me and your temperature suddenly doubled. What’s going on?”
“Don’t know… Room spun… Voices booming, then, pain.”
“The pain was me. You wouldn’t respond. You seemed to be having some kind of fit. I thought a shock might bring you out of it.”
“Hurt… but… worked.”
‘What’s happening to you?”
“I… don’t know. Did you… break something important… inside of me?”
“I can’t check at the moment without doing further damage.”
“I…think I’ll be alright. Some… things are just shifting about inside me. I think…”
“I’ve already summoned Doctor Tetsumi to check you over. He’ll be along in a moment.” He lowered me back down onto the pillows and cupped my check. “Until I know what’s wrong with you, I am leaving someone who will tend your needs. Relax; I will respect your wish for your family to be left in peace, as I know you won’t rest while you feel there is a threat to them present. They won’t even be able to see her. I know you have no reason to trust me and every reason not too but you are mine now. My property and I WILL see you decently cared for. Get used to it. I WILL be part of your life and to a degree theirs from now on! I will enjoy owning you very much I think.”
-No!- I thought. –No…- Once again lethargy was spreading through my body and I couldn’t fight.
