Then I found something… the beginning of the Bondlink within my mind. It shone like a star, bright and strong…
Guess my mind had recovered enough to actually go looking… at least from my side. Perhaps this meant that I could use it without hurting myself. I had the strangest feeling that I wasn’t supposed to actually locate it at all… still; if I wasn’t supposed to locate it… then he certainly wouldn’t expect me to be able to use it for more than speech…

-Well now… this certainly opens up my options a bit.-

As quietly as possible I gathered up my wits, hurts and discomforts, everything from the crick in my neck to the mental leftovers still healing up inside my skull and sort of threw it at him.

As the mostly unfocused blast wave of energy hit, it had one and only purpose… to free me!

I think I might have over done it a little.

-Oops.-

It caught him completely by surprise. I felt something in him give a little, then explode into nothingness.

We both jerked, but he was the one whose eyes widened in pain, surprise and a touch of shock. I was right, my over amped emotional wave had caught him (and me a bit, too) completely of guard.

((I didn’t know I could do that…)) I thought slightly awed… ((And apparently neither did he.)) Whatever. It had still worked neatly. I rolled my neck and heard the multiple cracks of the joints. I winced and then hummed a bit. Yay, my voice was back.

“That’s more like it,” I grinned.
