First of all, I don't know anyone who is getting married. I was talking with two of my friends and I didn't say everything I wanted to so I thought I might as well here.
It's a gigantic step. The concept of staying with one person for the rest of your life has gone into a lapse. Divorce rates have skyrocketed in the last two decades. To be able to find ONE person to spend the rest of your life sounds extremely difficult. Is it? I dunno. I don't want to marry the wrong person. That's the part that probably will keep me alone for a while.
