Speed Racer - Just finished watching Speed Racer, the live actors movie. To be honest, growing up with the animated series, I had mixed feelings about this movie. Now that I've seen it... I'm glad I saw it. Although full of bright colors, it's an amazing movie. Great cast and music. Don't expect your usual racing movie. These cars and tracks are... unique.
I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the animated series or anyone into racing games, like the F-Zero series (has nothing to do with Speed Racer, but has similar style tracks). If you're expecting Nascar style racing, this probably isn't for you.
Profiles - As some of you know, I've been working on profiles. So far, I've made several layouts, but only completed one of them. Sadly, I don't feel like using the one I completed and the others... I don't know if I'll complete. I want to remake my profile, as well as make more layouts for the joint shop I'm part of, but I've hit a creative wall. I can picture part of a profile, make it, but then I can't seem to make the rest of it.
I planned on making/adding more profile layouts to the joint shop this week, but I doubt it'll happen. Maybe I'm trying too hard... trying to make them too complex. Suppose I should come up with a simple design, with very few sections. Maybe just the "About Me" and comments, with optional avatar. I've seen some nice designs with just those sections.
I don't mean to sound like my profiles are really amazing, but looking through other profile shops, I see very simple layouts going for 40k+. Such a layout I'd maybe only charge 10k for. Maybe it's just the preview they show, but it looks as if they offer 1-2 sections with a custom nav (add, block, PM and trade buttons). Graphic work on them is rather flat and uninteresting, to me. Everyone has their own opinions though, so I suppose I can't say anything... I just don't understand who told them such a simple layout cost so much.
