Obviously the sequel to the first, Hellboy II is another adventure for Hellboy, Liz and Abe. This time, they're trying to save the world for an elf out on revenge, trying to take the world from humanity. It's Hellboy and the gang's job to stop him.
In this movie you get to see a flash back of Hellboy, when he was still a child. During the flash back, Hellboy's adopted father tells him of the legend of the golden army.
I felt this movie was better than the first. The first was mostly back story to Hellboy and this sequel lets us get away from back story, to see some awesome fight scenes and big red doing his thing. Though this movie does mention Hellboy's destiny and hints at... something more, none of that goes into great detail, which can be bad or good.
I recommend this to everyone. Most of all, to those who enjoyed the first one. If you never saw the first one, it's worth seeing, so you get back story and why the group is together.
This movie contains guns, fire, elves, trolls, monsters, blood, ectoplasm, canary's and decapitated fish.
Oh and... beware the tooth fairies.
