In a white room with no curtains
So I had a very hard time going to sleep last night. And it wasn't my growling stomach, or the clouds of dust I was breathing in. I think it was the fact that I had finally taken down every poster and wallscroll in my room. Yup. All my posters are down. I realize I have little less than a week left in my room. And of course I'll really miss it. I moved a lot when I was younger. Let's see the first time I rememeber moving was from Tahoe to Garnerville. Mi-ko was still in a crib and I can only barely rememeber entering the new house. I can't rememeber the old one at all. But we staied in Garnerville until I was done with second grade. Then we moved back to Tahoe, and lived there until I finished Third grade. Then we moved out here to Vegas and lived in an apartment until November, I rememeber because my Aunt was coming to visit for Thanksgiving the day after we moved in. So I've been here since that November, when I was in the Fourth grade.
My room has become my sanctuary. And as comfortable as I am in it, I feel so small. So boxed in.
A lot of my Mom's friends are mad at me. They think I'm being thoughtless moving out when my Mom has no source of income, and Mi-ko is still cleaning up the mess Johnny left her with. But in all reality, I was hoping Mom would save money with me being gone. I was really hoping that she'd be able to get rid of the house if I wasn't in it anymore. But I found out she's sorta' stuck with this place for awhile.
Still though, I'm excited to be out on my own. I kinda' feel really good when I look at all I'm accomplishing, which is good for me to do. ^-^
I'll really miss Mi-ko though. It'll be strange not seeing her as much...because at least when I lived at the apartment with the guys I got to see her when she was working, and sometimes she'd come visit. I've lived with her for over 20 years. She's always had a room right beside mine, or shared a room with me. Lol. I rememeber in Tahoe our rooms were split by a wall, and we talked to eachother through the vent. I know I'm going to cry when I get the apartment and realize how far away from her I am. I'll miss it all.
*cough* In other news though. Work still sucks. Mark has called out sick for two weeks now. So that means Mike is taking Mark's place and working mornings, Frank is taking Mike's place and working the mid-shift, and then some random person is taking Frank's place to work nights with me. There are only two people I like working with besides Frank. Cliff and Phillip. And well...Cliff broke his tailbone the other day. He could barely walk at work and couldn't bend down at all. What fun. The only thing to top it off is that Phillip is sick! Whoo. He can barely stand up, starts to tear when he coughs because it hurts so bad, and yeah...he's having trouble holding food down. But the ultimate cherry on top of all this is that Frank's arm is in a cast! His right arm too, so that means he can't cut and won't be in for the next two days. Oh boy!
The only good thing about all this is that it frees up some hours for our department, so I'm going to swoop in and pick up as much extra cash as I can.
But in other, other news. I went to see Underwolrd. Yeah. I'm a bit of an Underworld fan. But as most of you should know, the new Underworld is a prequel. It's the story of Lucian and Sonja. And yes. It is spelt with a 'J'. For those of you who haven't see the third one yet I do have some good news. It's a lot better than the second one. And yup they got the same guys to play Lucian and Viktor. However this is a different Sonja than what was seen in the first one. >.> Reason probably being that the girl who played Sonja in the first Underworld (Jazmin Damak) is the only role she's ever played. sweatdrop But still! I like this movie mostly because of Lucian. I find him down-right adorable. And for a lot of the movie he was naked, or wearing open leather shirts. heart
Also in news! I have to break a promise to you my friends. crying Sadly I will not be able to take you guys to go see a midnight release of Fanboys like I said. Why? Well there won't really be a midnight release. The movie will only be released for a weekend, in 8 cities. Unfortunatly Las Vegas is not one of those cities. The closest one to us...is Las Angeles. If the opeing weekend does really well they'll release the movie in more cities. And I feel really bad about this. Mi-ko was the one who told me about the movie. She called me at work to let me know opening weekend is on Feburary 6th. Then she called Choopie and made plans for the three of us to drive out there to go see the movie. Choopie has an Uncle who lives in L.A. and we get to stay with him for the night. I wish I could take yo all with me. I'm so sorry that I can't. But if the movie does well and it gets a release out here we're going! And if it doesn't then you can bet your a** when it comes out on DVD there will be a movie night at my place! But I hope you can forgive me the most Gizmo....cause I can't give you a ride to Mary's on that Saturday. crying
Anyways, I think that covers most of it. Hope you all are doing well! And well it maybe awhile before I post again...I'mma try to get another job so I can afford the nets. Wish me luck!
Today's lesson: The actor who plays Lucian in all three underworld movies, Mr. Micheal Sheen....does not look as pretty in real life as he does on screen...not at all.
