I just watched Pulse 3, the final movie in the trilogy. As with all movies with multiple parts, you should start with the first one.
Recap of what happens in Pulse. People go to a website and see people dying. They don't want to watch, but can't turn it off. The watcher becomes infected, then broadcasts themselves committing suicide. They then become a ghost-like being and, in a way, hunt the living.
So Pulse 3 takes place 7 years after Pulse 2. Jasmine (watch Pulse 2, to know who she is) is now 17 and lives with a foster family, in a refugee camp. All kids are taught that technology is bad and traveling to the city is forbidden. Jasmine doesn't like living there or her foster family and wants to leave. She ends up finding a laptop and makes contact with someone named Adam, which lives in the city. Don't want to give away much more than that, so if you've seen Pulse 1 and 2, pick up 3, to finish the story and see what happens.
I was happy to see the loose end from Pulse 2 got explained in this one. However, the special effects in this one didn't seem as good as the first two. A few scenes were obvious shot against green screens. Pulse 3 wasn't as scary as the first two either, which was disappointing.
Again, if you saw Pulse 1 and 2, grab 3 to finish the story. If you didn't see Pulse 1 or 2, but enjoy scary movies, I highly recommend Pulse 1. Pulse 2 and 3 aren't as good, but if you want to finish the story, by all means do so.
Warning: This movie contains blood, swearing and brief partial nudity... very brief.
