Unable to move, I bit my lips and watched my mom as she inhaled sharply and begged him to let me go. My dad just sat there and clenched his fists. The twins glanced at what was going on and cried even more when they saw me being threatened. Where was Winnie? He was a golden retriever, a big one at that too. Surly he can take on a burglar or two, can’t he?
Unless… Unless they killed him already.
No. Not my dog. Anyone but Winnie!
Well, my family excluded from the anyone, but… Winnie? Dead? He’s been with us since the twins have been born and that’s a long time.
“You killed my dog?!” I yelled. Both the burglar and my family looked very surprised at this. Well, they should be. The man’s just standing there, demanding for money with a gun pointed at my head and all I could think of was he killed my dog.
I guess if they killed our dog, then that means they’ll have no problem with killing us. If he was cruel enough to kill Winnie, why not a person?
With my wild imagination, I saw pictures of Danny and Danielle lying on the ground with a hole on their heads and mom and dad coughing out blood then it’ll be me next…
I felt like throwing up. Why was I imagining these things anyways?
Then I heard something. Not a gunshot (thank god) but something like strong wind going through a very small window, you know, those whoosh kind… aw, heck I don’t know.
Well, anyways, I heard this sound and all I hear is this deep voice, a guy’s voice behind us.
“Let her go before you regret it.” He said.
