In light of recent events, I've come up with a new philosophy. Friends do not exist. There are people that you agree with, and feel comfortable around, and you may even share secrets with. But, lets face it, the human species has a very good sense of self preservation, at least most of us do. When faced with life threatening situations, we tend to go based off our instincts. The message "save yourself" takes quite a literal meaning. With that said, maybe we care about certain people at the time, but when faced with a different situation we forget about our ties to those individuals and save ourselves. So do we really care at all? I think not.

Friends do not exist. Love is a state of mind. Caring is a fantasy.

Only strength prevails.
