I know it's not new new, but not old either... I recently saw the movie Push. It's similar to Jump, being that both are about people with special abilities with secret government agencies after them.
Push is based more on fact. Not saying that their are people with such powers, but the fact about governments testing people and trying to train soldiers with powers. One such group who did just that were the Nazi.
Anyway, Push is about a guy that is a "pusher", which means he has the ability to move things. He meets this little girl (she is about 12 or 13) that is a watcher. Watchers watch things and can see possible futures. Hope I got that right...
So the main guy meets the girl and she convinces him to help her find a certain case, which contains something that will help people like them fight against the agencies after them. Along their journey, they meet other people like them, some good and some bad (bad ones work for the government groups after them).
Without spoiling the movie too much more...
I highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoy Sci Fi or action movies.
The only thing I did not care for was when the main character used his powers to have guns float around. Aside from that, it was an excellent movie.
Warning: this movie contains fight scenes, a girl with a lollipop, screaming Asians, guns and alcohol use.
