Mi Vida Reborn
Just some random stuff in my mind. May have random fanfics, adult language, high levels of sarcasm, and themes not suitable for those who are young and/or sane. You have been warned
for Brighter Day (Chapter 1)
Yay for finally posting. I'm working on Chapter 15 as we speak and it's getting good. There's no reason why I named it "for Brighter Day". Maybe just to show that "With You" is kinda like one side of it. Fair bit of warning, quite a few chapters you will have read before from "With You" (just worded differently). I still wanted to keep the flow about the same, but improving and expanding.

If you haven't already done so, go listen to "for Brighter Day" by Kelli Sae. Like I said, good listen.

DISCLAIMER: I do not, repeat do not own Phantasy Star Universe, it's characters, or it's plot, that belongs to Sega/Sonic Team. I own Ami, to an extent, all the original characters. Kyoh belongs to my brother, to an extent. If I did, I would make Hyuga appear in a lot more media. And I would make Episode 3 offline. And work together to make PSPo2 have a US release. I don't make any money from this, so be gone lawyers. BE GONE.

Chapter 1

"So when do you audition?" asked a silver haired male. He sat on a stool at a fairly populated resturant. Sitting beside him was a girl. She had blue hair that almost looked like an ocean. "Next week apparently." She fiddled with her fingers, a habit of hers. "I've never been to Neudaiz by myself so I don't know." The male smiled at her, giving a slight shine to his golden yellow eyes. "You'll be fine, everyone likes to hear you play." She sighed. "I know." An older male came between the two. "Ami, Kiri took a call and she wants you to deliver these to table ten." The girl, sighed. "It always happens on my break. Okay." She took a navy blue ribbon and tied her thigh length hair into a ponytail. "Ten right?" She picked up the order, which were two Koltva juices. "Be back."

Ami Satomora is a seventeen year old human. She made her way over through the resturant she's been working at for about a year. She only worked while she was waiting to head for Neudaiz to go to a performing arts school. She made her way to the table, which was near the terrance. Sitting there were two other humans, a male and a female. It seems like the two were on a date. "You ordered the Koltva juices?" Ami asked. The male looked up at her. She was a bit startled about how his eyes were a light blue. But it wasn't lighter than Ami's. "Yes thank you." he said, in a polite voice Ami rarely hears. She set down the juices in front of the couple. "Your previous waitress went to answer a call, but she should be back soon. For the time being, I'll be serving. So if you need me, please let me know." She gave a slight bow before walking.

She stopped upon seeing the big screen television turned on. A woman donning purple pigtails and wearing a black dress shirt and red skirt appeared on screen. "Hi everyone, this is Hal from Guhral Channel 5 news." Upon hearing Hal, the news reporter, everyone quieted down a bit. "Today marks the hundredth year since the treaty has been signed. Everyone near and far has gathered in Clyez city to celebrate in this momentous occasion." The news panned to the left to show various pictures of the air show, given by the Alliance Military Force, or AMF. "A speech will be given by President Dallgun of the Guardians followed by a public divination by the Divine Maiden this afternoon." Ami froze at the last statement. "It's today?" She saw Kiri walking up the stairs to and she rushed down. "Stop letting me do you shifts." she said while running to her manager. "Oh crap I forgot it was today." Ami said. She looked at him. "I'm sorry but I'm going to have to take an early leave. I waited months for the Maiden to come close by." The manager smiled. "I know." Ami smiled back. Then she looked at the male. "Kyoh, you're coming with. You know my parents wouldn't approve if I went by myself." He sighed. "Fine. Whatever. But you owe me." Ami smiled back at him. The two grew up together and were like brother and sister. "Go ahead and get out of your uniform. You don't want to go as that."

Ami and Kyoh arrived at Clyez city. It was a populated city. But it was mostly known for the Guardians Headquarters, located in the heart of the city. It also served as a meeting point for travelers. The country they lived on, Ragol, was in the middle of Gurhal. Ami and Kyoh lived in a town about a hour from the city. Ami smoothed out her Prita shirt and Bun-Bun pants. "Oh man I hope we can get good seats." she said. Kyoh sighed again. "As long as it isn't nosebleed seats, then I really don't care."

As the two ran to get to the Linear Line, the subway station, Ami bumped into a girl. "Oww..." they both said. "Lumia! Quit being in such a hurry. The stadium isn't going anywhere." said a brunette male. He looked to be Ami and Kyoh's age. He wore what looked to be a cutom Braves line. He took notice while grabbing the girl, Lumia. "I apologize for her. She had the Maiden on her brain." Ami got up and dusted herself off. "It's okay." "That makes two." Kyoh mumbled, earning him a jab to the ribs. "We're going the same way actually." Ami said. The male nodded. "Well, hope to see you again." he said. "Ethan! hurry up!" shouted Lumia, "We would have been there by now if you weren't late." The male, Ethan sighed. "You just can't win with sisters." He ran after Lumia again before leaving out of sight. Ami looked at her watch. "Crap! We got to get going too."

After a train ride and some more running later, the pair made it to the stadium where the festivies were held at. They had missed the air show entirely but came in just before the President made his speech. It was a motivational speech and commending about how long Gurhal has maintained the peace. Ami shifted around in her seat, not really taking to the speech well. "The Maiden will come soon." said Kyoh. As soon as he said that, she appeared. As she walked to the stage, people called out to her. The purple haired newman female smiled and waved at the audience." She was dressed in a long white gown with markings on her face, under each eye. Upon her head was a golden crown. She gave a simple smile. "May the Holy Light shine upon you all." she said in a quiet voice. She closed her blue eyes and took a deep breath. Everyone was silent at what she was doing, divination. A soft white light surrounded the Divine Maiden as she focused. Ami was astounded at what she was seeing.

Mirei Mikuna, also known as the Divine Maiden, focused deeply into the photons gathering around her. It was taxing on her, but it brought smiles to those she promised to help. The photons formed into various images in her head. There was space, then a light forming from those depths. "Huh?" she whispered. Out of the light came what appeared a planet. She twitched a bit as the planet opened and lights shot out. "What is this!?" she shouted, as the lights headed towards Gurhal.

There was a loud boom heard from the statdium. It made everyone look up. The sky was darkened as purple lights fell towards the world. Everyone looked in horror as the lights hit the AMF fleet, destroying everyone inside the carriers in process. Everyone began getting up and leaving the statdium as the lights seemed to be hitting closer and closer. Ami and Kyoh began leaving as well. But due to the mass confusion, they were being lead to different exits.

Ami finally fought through the crowds to get away. But only finding out that she didn't recognize the hallway. "Well that just sucks." she said to herself. Ami took out her phone and started dialing a number. It rang a couple times before a disconnection tone came up. "Great." she said sarcastically. She put the phone back into her pocket. "I guess I should start walking."

As she walked, Ami became more confused at where she going. 'I should have reached some sort of exit by now.' she thought. Then she saw another figure. "How did you get down here?" asked the male. She sighed out of relief upon seeing the male. He walked over to her. "I was trying to not get pulled by the crowd and when I pulled away, I ended up here." she explained. Ami looked around. She noticed a symbol on the right side of the male's uniform. "You're a Guardian?" The male nodded behind his goggles. There was a rumble beneath them. Ami looked alarmed. "Just stay calm." he assured her. The guardian took out a gun. The rumbled increased. The two looked down to see the ground cracking beneath them. "Underneath?" the guardian asked. Before they could make a move, the ground collasped beneath them.

Ami opened her eyes. All around her was debris. Her body ached, but pretty much alive. "I didn't think that it would be beneath us." the guardian said, getting up. He dusted the dust off his reddish-brown hair. "How are you feeling miss?" Ami nodded. "I'm fine. I think." The ground shook again. The two looked at the plant like creature in front of them. "What is that?" Ami asked. The guardian shook his head. "I don't know." He shot at the creature. It was getting damaged, but not as fast as the guardian would have liked. He looked over at Ami. He threw the gun at her. Surprisingly, she caught it. "It's against protocol, but our survival comes first. Just aim and shoot at it." he instructed. He got out his sword and hacked at the creature. Ami took a deep breath. She looked at places at where she could shoot at it. She noticed the head and began firing. With their combined efforts, the creature was defeated.

Good job." said the guardian. Ami gave the gun back. "No, keep it for now. We don't know what else is out there." Suddenly, Ami fell to the ground. "Owwwww!" she shouted. She felt a liquid searing through her right ankle. It turned out the creature was trying to take someone with it. Ami was getting dragged to it. "Help!" she shouted. The guardian nodded as he slashed at the tentacle holding on. "Hurry..." she said. "It's using an acid." he said. He continued slashing at the appendage until it split in half. He put on a pair of gloves and quickly removed the remaining from Ami's ankle. He cringed at what he saw. There was blood seeping from the wound and it ate away part of the flesh. "Headquarters! Answer please." All he was met with buzz. "I'll have to do a makeshift job for now." He placed his hands over the wound. "Just calm down okay? It may sting a bit." Ami nodded as she saw him switch his sword for a flying machine. A green light surrounded the wound and closed it up enough so that it didn't bleed. He got up and held a hand. "You won't be able to walk on it by yourself." Ami nodded and took his hand.

"So you came here for the peace ceremony correct?" Ami just nodded. "Yes, I was with my friend and we got seperated in the chaos." He looked down. "I see. It's a good thing I saw you when I did." He looked at Ami. "Have you thought about joining the Guardians? You seem like a good candidate for it." They made their way out of the rubble. Ami took a deep breath. "Finally." said the guardian. There was already a group in the area. The guardian lifted his head up. "Hey! Leo!" A burly beast made his way to the two. "Oh, Prescott. We were worried when you didn't phone in." The guardian, Prescott, shrugged. "Communications were shot when I tried reaching Headquarters. Anyway, the lady and I fell down a floor and she got injured by one of the creatures in the process. It used an acid." Leo's eyes widened. "Come with me Miss, we'll get you to a medical team right away." Ami nodded as she went with the beast. "Thank you again Mister Prescott." He smiled a bit. "Don't worry, it's my job. You should consider what I asked though." She gave a nod. "I will."

"So it will leave a scar?" asked Kyoh. It had been two days since the attack of the Seed, what everyone is calling the creatures now. "Yeah, I'm just relieved that I can still walk normally. Hey Kyoh?" He turned to Ami. "Hmm?" "I'm going to join the Guardians." He was silent. "What brought this about?" Ami shrugged, "I have this feeling that I have to. I want to help in this fight." Kyoh got up. "Well, I'm joining too. I can't let you go by yourself. Actually, I've been thinking about it myself for a while now." Ami looked up at the tall building, Guardian Headquarters. "My dream of playing will have to be put on hold." she told herself. The two walked up the headquarters, there they met the receptionist. "Hello, welcome to the Guardians, protecting Gurhal's future. I'm Mina and how may I help you?" Ami looked at Mina. "My name is Ami and this is my friend Kyoh. We would like to have applications to join the Guardians please?" Mina gave a smile. "Sure."

There you have it, the first chapter. I think it turned out nice. I changed up on how each of them meet up. And I made more Mina references. I don't like her that much, since she's a background character. But you do see her an awful lot in the games....so yeah. Hopefully I'll stay truer to the canon story. You probably won't notice until I get into the Episode 2 (aka Ambition of the Illuminus) part of the story.

Until next time.
