Fai just stared at her. She looked at him in question. "My name is Jynette," she repeated. Fai stared, examing Jynette's face. The he nodded and started walking. "Well hey! Wait for me!" she called. She took wide steps wondering how Fai managed not to sink into the snow as he went. She wiped her eyes and pushed strands of her hair behind her ears. "You're not going to ask me why they're after me...?"
There was no reply. Jynette walked next to Fai. She noticed that the small boy didn't seem to feel the cold like she did. "Hello? Hey wizard-kun?" Fai stopped in his tracks and looked up at her without showing expression. Jynette stopped and shivered. Fai took off one of his heavy layers and passed it to her. "Wha-?" she was puzzled.
"Your lips are blue," he responded in monotone. Jynette stared at him for a thoughtful moment. Fai's gaze didn't faulter. She was about to decline the offer anyway, but the wind suddenly picked up again and melted her doubts away. She hesitantly took the coat and put it on. Warmth remained from its last wearer.
"T-thanks," Jynette told him. Fai turned away and continued on his self-made path.
