Hi there!
On 4th July 2010, a new set of fish hit the streets of Colorful Accord*. It was a new fleet of ready-to-be-grabbed monsters which happened to be one of the best BG (and most popular) fish in the Gaia world.
The name of these new fish? It goes by the name of lawnsharks!.
Yep. Their glow stats are much better than the Alpha Grams and Lightning Bugs which I had previously - 180 total Gold drop against 120 - and they're so much popular! At 4pm GMT [before my lawnsharks] I would often glow, and only get 10-15 players. This now lays thrashed compared to the 23 achieved by the lawnsharks. It's worth noting that the actual player count would've been higher, but Gaia's been "accused" of blocking Windows XP users - but I'm an XP user, and managed to BG a few tanks without any problems.
*Colorful Accord is the name of my old tank.. with each new set of fish comes a new Tank name. This name applies to the alpha grams.
I've made 50k in 3 days, an average of 17k. Less than I'd liked, but as I become more known within the Lawnshark tank community and receive more invites this number is expected to rise by approximately 25% in the next week or so.
Now time for the second part of the journal, hence the second part of the title. 'Deflation'.
And sure enough, deflation is happening. At quite a massive scale. This is all caused by one wonderous thing...
a RIG
It means "Random Item Generator", or something close. These RIGs are known to cause deflation. Currently, "Famestar Hero" has bought almost a 200k deflation on a few certain items and more on more expensive items. Take the CoCos and KiKis... CoCos have lost 200k whilst the KiKis have lost (about) a whopping 800k. Most items are taking the hit with prices slumping. My advice? Take advantage of these savings now, before it's too late.
Most aquarium products will probably fall in price too, thanks to the Admin's announcement of glitch fixes. Previously, a tank of fish could still glow even though (technically) they're dead. Now they can't and many tank owners now have to spend Millions of Gold refilling their tanks. I predict that the declining Dolphins will become extinct by Christmas 2010, along with some other fish. The seaslug has an earlier extinct prediction, as far back as October-November 2010.
Hopefully Gaia will fix a loophole affecting fish buyers soon enough. When a fish dies, it seems to become "unlocked", allowing the sinister tank owner to sell a dead fish to a poor innocent victim (or at least according to fellow Bug Reports). So the victim has their fish already placed in their tank and the fish automatically dies within visiting the tank. It takes about a week to sort out... somebody sad enough to do this is an exploiter. The cheaper the fish compared to the Lowest Buy Price, the likely it will come with a hidden present.
Fish prices are in decline. Lawnsharks are already down to just 130k compared to 160k a couple of weeks ago.
That's all for now folks,
Thanks for reading!
