So yeah.. My cat, Bear, whom I've had since I was 3 and he was 16 years old... has passed away. He had to be put down tonight due to a hyper thyroid, which sped up his metabolism so much that even though he was eating multiple times a day, he was still losing weight rapidly. On top of that he had a blood clot that was cutting circulation off his back legs so he wasn't able to walk. Due to him being so old, the medication we could have put him on would have very little effect. Despite me not wanting to let him go, it was his time, and I was not about to let him suffer.
