	would it really hurt to say it?!? ok, i was thinking, picture this: (this pertains to mostly the girls, but it has a message for guys) a girl gets up about and hour or an hour and a half b4 she has to go to school. she gets a shower, picks out the perfect outfit to match her body shape, does her make up all nice and pretty, and sprays a great smelling purfume on her lightly and heads off to school (with one last glance in the mirror to make sure her hair is right). she gets to school, and gets compliments from her friends (the girls) that she looks very cute/nice today. smiling, she turns to the boys in her group. "dude, you got a dollor i can have?" one asks her blankly. so all through the day, she gets compliments from girls, but what she was really hoping for was any kind of notice from the guys that she looks beautiful, but sadly she did not recieve anything remotly close to something that sweet. one boy told her she was "hot" but that was not what she got dressed up for, that was NOT what she spent and hour getting ready for. so now i ask a question, to both the boys and girls that read this-would it REALLY kill a guy to just FOR ONCE say "your beautiful" or at least "you look nice today" to a girl, even if they dont have any kind of "romantic intrest" in them? would it really hurt for a guy to say 2 or 3 little words to help boost a girls confidence? because when u tell a girl she is "hott", it seems like u are just referring to their body shape, but when u tell a girl they are BEAUTIFUL, u are letting her know that 1)her efforts have not gone unnoticed, 2)that u are actually looking at her and not just her body and 3) that u can take the time to say a couple of words to make her feel better about herself. guys, this goes out to all of you, from us girls. even if u dont "like us that way" its still nice to know that u see us.

	bryce, if u read this, NONE of that was directed twords you, u always tell me im beautiful and i love it, and i love you heart i just wrote this because i was thinking about it and realized that i know a lot of girls that would feel better about themselves if a guy would tell them they are pretty/beautiful once in a while. lol

	If I catually cared for compliments on my looks, it would be nice. But comlpiments f my achievements boost my confidence more, because I'm a freak like that. Actually, I can't stand when people compliment me on my looks...but it's a sweet sentament never the less.

	actually, I hate it when guys tell me I'm beautiful usually, cause they get that serious look on their face like your going to fall in there arms when they say it, and when all you do is say thank you, they look dissapointed, and it's annoying! hehe^_^ And I DO get told I look nice by boys. I just get told it because they stare at me for longer periods of time, or they flirt more^_^

	hmmm. i see ur point sam, but, idk, i guess im just the weird one. idk, i just like it better when guys tell me im beautiful instead of hott because 1) no guy never really has told me im hott, just charles told me i was "kind of hot" and 2) for the reasons i mentioned above. but sam, i meant above that a guy doesnt need any attachments to the girl to give a girl a compliment and its just nice when a guy that has no intentions of you wanting to "fall into his arms" tells u that ur pretty. i just think the whole beautiful thing is sooo much sweeter/nicer/less horn-dog like than "hott"

	dylan- you cant ask just ME to answer your third question because i dont represent all girls in general, this is just one little girl's opinion about it all. but i know a part of it is personal hygene! rolleyes lol and also its a proven fact that when a person (not just girls, guys too) looks good and they see that they look good (not to a point where your like, full of ur self coughrobert micissikcough) but they actually feel better about themselves. like cancer patients with no hair, they feel better (less sick from kemotherapy) because they see themselves better. idk, i just read it somewhere. im not saying you should call a taken girl hott, cause yes, u might get punched from her bf, im talking about single girls, sad girls, or just your friends (that r girls). if u think i was talking about me in that whole thing above, wow no! im just saying in general you know? idk, maybe im just crazy about this whole thing...

	lol I'm the wierd one! well, really It all depends on the girl. And dylan, your a moron.^_^ answers to dylan 1 Guys don't have to be observant, just take the time to either look stunned, or say wow, you look really good, or pretty, or beautiful. 2. Don't compliment a taken girl then! Do it for your girl FRIENDS!(not girlfriends. note the space) like Heather and all (don't do it for Naya though. SHe may kill you) 3. Girls want to look nice to be noticed. If a girl looks really pretty, she gets more attention. And she feels prettier. If I'm having a bad day, a little extra time on my clothes and makeup really make me feel better, just cause I think I look better^_^ All in all. COmpliment girls, don't over do it, and don't expect anything back from them. do it to make their day.

	It is nice to get told you're pretty, isn't it? Most guys (exculding the boyfriend, of course), however, won't go as far as to say the word 'beautiful' in front of ANYBODY, so I think that's a lost cause. xd Pretty isn't as hard to say. I'll dress up occasionaly, but usually I do it only when I'm already feeling nicely about myself...If I feel like crap, I don't bother. mrgreen 'Course, I don't really bother much anywyas. Dressing up for me = A little more makeup, and remembering to wear some jewelery. But I guess I get why you'd dress up to make yourself feel better.

	i kinda agree with dylan it is kinda asking for a slap,unless its someone you know, but even if it is,in a guys mind if you say you look nice to a girl we think that the girls thinking EWWW HE LIKES ME!! and thats jus a lil bit of a shut down.or lets say if your taken,im assumeing u dont want me telling other girls they look beautiful or they look nice or whatever
