Katrina rubbed her hands together to keep them warm as she joined her circle of friends standing outside the school. "Hey what's up?" she greeted the other four girls. "Where have you been?" Tiffany accused. "You missed everything." she sounded dissapointed that her friend had missed such a big event, but glad to have a little secret. "What could I have possibly missed that could be so important?" Katrina asked pointedly. "You could have missed, well I don't know, just the cutest guy ever going to the library." This time it was Cassy that jumped in, to inform Katrina of the momentous occasion that she had not seen. "We could go right now before the bell rings," Erin whishpered to the group excitedly, " he's probably still in the library. Oh, Kat you just got to see him, he's a dream." Right then she mimicked a woosing spell. "Get the smelling salts girls, she's a gonner," at this comment from June, all the girls laughed enjoying time together, and arm in arm they proceeded to the library to goggle and stare at the "cute" guy. "Hey," Tiffany whispered excitedly, shaking Katrina and pointing toward one of the reading tables. "There he is," her quite voice seemed to go up an octave. "Yay, I see him," Katrina answered softly as her eyes decended upon the young man reading his book. His hair was dark, and his eyes a shocking shade of brown. They were so mezmorizing, with flecks of gold and green, and had a hawk like concentration. His skin had an olive undertone, and Katrina had to admit that he was perhaps the handsomest man she'd ever seen. "Quick, turn around, pretend like your looking at these books, he's coming this way." Erin's warning was just quick enough. The girls busied themselves to make it seem like they were in the library for an actual purpose, other than looking at guys. Katrina started looking at the dictionary, he came right towards her. "Are you done reading that?" asked a deep sophistacated voice. Katrina just about melted at that spot. His voice matched his looks perfectly. "I'm mean if it's that interesting I wouldn't want to drag it away from you, but I need to look up a word." His voice held an aire of authority, with a touch of sarcasim. All in all he was likely the most concieted person on the face of the planet, but Katrina could care less. He could have insulted everything about her, but she still would have fell in love with him the same way she was doing right now. "Well?" She hadn't moved from that spot in front of the dictionary, and he was still there. How long had the silence gone on, til he reminded her that he needed the dictionary. Her heart stopped beating. "umm..." she croaked out. "I'm done, uh.... thanks,um here you go." quickly she moved a few feet to the right so he could get in and look up whatever word he needed. "By the way, my name's Gallin, but I just go by Gal." He held his hand out to her. Katrina summoned all the courage she had and took it. "M..My name," she cleared her throat. "My name's Katrina." She actually managed a smile that wasn't dorky. "Nice to meet you," he flashed a heart breaking smile. "I hope to see you around." He let go of her hand and walked toward the exit. "Oh," he turned and let his gaze beam at her, " You've got beautiful eyes." Katrina's face filled to the brim with a rosy red color as she watched him walk away like he'd just commented on the weather or something. All the other girls clustered around Katrina. "Oh my, he likes you," Tiffany sqealed. The girls bombarded her with questions all the way to first period. "What did it feel like to touch him?" June asked with a dreamy look on her face. "Isn't his voice just the dreamiest," Cassy commented. "What was his name? I didn't hear," that was Tiffany again. They all fit the description of a group of hens, clucking around each other. Katrina just answered the questions robotically, as she thought of a billion ways to make her eyes stand out more.
