Mr. Herbert...The biggest jerk at Evanston Township High School. He is the reason why I didn't act very much for the past 2 years. When I took his Theater 1 class, he never had constructive critisim, only insults such as, "My God Noah, that may have been the single worst scene to ever grace this stage!" My response, "How can I make it better Mister Herbert?" His response, "I dunno...Stop sucking so much?"
Now I'm in his Theater 2 Honors Class, and I am the only one in the class who doesn't recieve compliments from him! With other scenes, he'll say, "Well *Insert classmate name here* its good, but you need to work on your blocking and memorization." His version of that for me is like so: "Noah, have you learned NOTHING from Freshman year? You sucked then, and you suck now!"
GAH! All the lower classmen in my class, agree, he's a jackass, and he targets me...I don't know why he seems to be out to get me. Maybe its because I'm one of only two Seniors in the class. Maybe I'm really as bad an actor as he says. I don't know. What I do know, is that I can't take much more of his insults...I would drop out...But I need the credits...
As Mr. Herbert would say: "Ok, stop being an insult to the theatrical arts and get off the stage..."
Translation: "Talk to you later."
