Call it greed, but all I knew was I wanted to have it all, or at least the knowledge of it. Power was everything, at least that was the trip I was going on. After being beaten so many times before it felt good, real good to actually win a fight and after I won Jack with my new "God Given" powers I was on cloud nine.
So I wanted more, more powers, and thats where my plot came into plan. I was chill'n in the Haven watching, waiting for Kanna to come in. Jup and Ghost was there too, they were going at it like two caged animals. Going upstairs, playing "twister", it was really getting on my nerves and I knew I had to end it, but not right now. Finally, after what seemed like forever, Kanna came in. I quickly greeted her but not to kindly, I didn't want her to think something was up. "Hey my sexy red head." I winked, sounding like the average pervert she thought I was... or maybe I really was? I don't know. She glared at me and I quickly apologized amitting my fault and as a deed of good will I offered her a room for the night. She excepted falling right into my trap, everything was going so perfect.
I waited until she headed off to bed and then it wasn't until hours later that I told Jup I would check on Saturn, who was also upstairs, and thats when I would follow through with my plot. tip toeing up the stairs I gave one last glance back at the two kids playing tongue twister before proceeding. Room 7, this was it, I listen for a second to make sure she was asleep before quietly opening the door and stepping in quickly closing the entrance behind me. I felt so wrong sneaking into a girls room digging under her garments to get what I wanted, but it wasn't what I usually wanted, it was something much more, her pendant.
She was sleeping peacefully like a little angel, well I guess she was so it made sense. I took a deep breath before I began to creep over. She had a bunch of stuff on the floor, clothes or whatever, wait! Was she naked under the covers? Umm Nosebleed! No, not really. I had to hold it in and save it for later, I knew she would know I was in her room if she woke and saw a bunch of blood on her floor... anyways where was I? Oh yeah, there was a bunch of crap on her floor so it was difficult to get to her bed but eventually I made it. There she was, in all her glory. Gawd she was beautiful, I had a crush on her ever since she came to the Haven and all I got was a punch in the face. Well I guess thats the only thing I deserved, I was rather blunt about it, but now was not the time to idolize her, I had to get the pendant.
Leaning forward I searched her neck for the chain that held the pendant, ther it was, that golden strand that held the fragrant red stone. I pulled the glowing rock out from under the sheets and gazed it for a second thinking "Your mine." Placing it down I got busy at trying to to undo the chain. I found the clip but it seemed like it was stuck, it wasn't getting out of the hole for some reason, I leaned closer and thats when it happened.
Right when I got closer, feeling the warm air she was exhaling I turned to face her and suddenly lost balance planting a kiss right on her lips.
I Froze. I didn't know what to do, what happened if she woke up? Maybe if I close my eyes she wouldn't see me. I shut my lids and waited, for anything, but nothing happen. I stood there and just for a moment I took in the kiss and enjoyed it, I could have sworn she slipped me the tongue but soon I would withdraw just to find myself in another predicament. Right on the other side of the room stood the transparent figure of ghost with that stupid questioning look on his face, s**t. I quickly, and almost easier than before, undid the necklace and rushed to Ghost putting my finger on my lips. "It's not what it looks like." I whispered. "Really? I thought I just saw you kissing Kanna while she was sleeping. Or did she die and you were just reviving her?"
"Shh! I'll explain later."
Talk about a pain in the a**. We left the room and I explained what I went up there for and how it all happened but he didn't believe me. I already started to not like this guy and I could tell he had the same feelings for me. It was only a matter of time until I got the upper hand, but for right then I just concentrated on getting the other pendants. Hysube gave me his Shadow pendant, I stole Earth's Ice, Eternity's Wind, and Curly's light with out them really knowing, I knew where they slept too. and with all of that I began to get really good at the elements, and it wasn't before long that I would consider myself a master elementalist.
