If you haven't read my past complaint entries, then let me tell you what was going on. Randomly, our internet and phone (both are digital and go through the modem) would go down for hours at a time, sometimes. The lights on the modem would all go out, except the power light and a few others that alternated blinking. It happened saturday, going down for about 8 hours and again on sunday, off and on.
Anyway, the guy hopefully fixed it. When we switched over to the digital voice (the phone service), the person who installed it, wasn't all that smart. He only switched some part on the wires, on the telephone pole. When he did that, he should have noticed something about the wire. The wire was chewed on by squirrels and had water in it. The guy who came by today, replaced the entire wire.
Now that we're on a brand new wire, it may just be me, but I feel our internet is actually a little faster now. Not much, but still, faster internet is better internet.
